There’s something about being in the same room with people who speak your trade’s language.

At the 2026 MRC AGM in Vancouver, Millwrights from across Canada shared ideas, learned from one another and built connections that reach beyond provincial borders.

Hear what coming together meant to the people who were there.

At the MRC Annual General Meeting in Vancouver, EST Beardsworth outlined a clear direction for the work ahead: focus, accountability and ex*****on.

Our priorities are clear — grow our membership, expand market share and ensure our contractors have access to the skilled workforce they need to meet the demands of the work ahead.

The opportunity is significant, and the MRC is focused on delivering.

The next step was planned before the course began.

In Merritt, B.C., four participants from local Indigenous communities completed six weeks of Introduction to Millwrighting training and went on to begin apprenticeships with RKM Services on Teck's Highland Valley Copper Mine Life Extension Project.

Paid work placements had been part of the plan from the start. The introductory course was the beginning of a longer apprenticeship, not the end of their training.
