THE TRACKER IS FINALLY BACK!

IRCC’s Application Status Tracker — is the online tool that lets you see exactly where your application stands, step by step, instead of refreshing and guessing.

IRCC took the old tracker offline on May 14, 2026 to fix outdated information and security issues. As of October 14, it’s live again. ✅

Which programs are covered?
✔️ Work permits
✔️ Study permits
✔️ Visitor visas
✔️ Express Entry (including enhanced PNP)
✔️ Family sponsorship — spouse or dependent child

How to use it:
1️⃣ Wait for your AOR — no AOR, no tracking yet
2️⃣ Sign in with your bank (Sign-In Partner) or your GCKey
3️⃣ Have your application number and UCI ready
4️⃣ Follow your four stages: eligibility, medical exam, background verification, biometrics — each marked Not started, Waiting on you, In progress, Completed or Exempted. It updates daily.

⚠️ See “Waiting on you”? That means IRCC needs something from YOU. Don’t sit on it — that’s where delays begin.

You come here season after season. You feed this country. And most of you leave without ever really seeing it.

What many persons don’t know: before your status expires, you can apply from inside Canada to change your status to a visitor (it’s called a visitor record). That gives you lawful time to rest, explore, visit family, and experience things like Christmas and New Year’s right here in Canada — then return home as planned.

As long as you’re ok with this: you cannot work while you’re on visitor status, and it’s wise to speak with your liaison service/employer about your return flight arrangements before you change your plans.

The key takeaway here is: leaving on time after a lawful stay doesn’t hurt you — it helps you. It builds the kind of travel history officers love to see (super helpful for future visa applications)!

the latest Bank of Canada analysis confirms that the economy is shifting.

Canada’s population is getting older, and that with current immigration trends is shifting the overall economic outlook. 🇨🇦

A new Bank of Canada report shows:
• The median age has jumped from 26 (1971) to over 40 today
• Population growth slowed to 0.5% in 2025, the slowest in over a century
• As boomers retire, fewer young workers will be there to replace them

💡 This is why we’re seeing Canada pushing more category-based draws.
The country is hand-picking the workers it needs most: teachers, healthcare workers, and other in-demand occupations.
