This is just one example of what an unsafe, highly unprofessional, lazy and inexperienced "installer" considers to be completely ok to do.
Connecting an alarm panel directly into the mains consumer unit using 6 core alarm cable !!!

If they've cut corners with this, what else hasn't been done correctly???
Motion detectors looking directly at windows (heat source) which is a huge no-no in the security industry.

This is what happens when you get work done without properly checking out who is working in your house, and the literal definition of "best and cheapest"

A bit of free advice from Lee-Digital Security Systems
I've seen a lot of posts in the last few months of intruders in gardens caught on CCTV and the intruders not even bothered about them. It's all very well having a great recording after the event of someone about to smash your windows in, but it's not the best solution.
CCTV is absolutely fine as additional security, but in most cases it just does not act as a deterrent anymore.
You CAN make it harder for them though - don't leave gates unlocked, dont leave valuables on show even for a minute. Don't leave your doors unlocked whilst upstairs, the list is endless.

An intelligent perimeter detection system should always be your 1st line of defence.
Once an intruder enters your garden it will activate your 113db sirens and strobe lights and send photos to your mobile BEFORE they get inside.

You can arm the outside whilst you are inside or in bed for example, and you won't wake up to someone already inside your house.
I've installed hundreds of these systems, and I've not had one report of anyone managing to get through without setting it off, and caught many intruders on it who ran away as soon as it activated, which is exactly what we want ✅️

These systems cant just be sited anywhere though, that's where my years of experience in this industry come into play - you need to know where and where NOT to site them (you do need to know what you're doing to eliminate false alarms)
