PIASA, leader sur le marché du design d’après-guerre, programme une soixantaine de ventes aux enchères chaque année. Maison pluraliste, elles est crée en 1996 et organise dans son hôtel particulier du faubourg Saint-Honoré des ventes dans les domaines de l’Art Moderne et Contemporain, les Arts d’Asie, les Bijoux, le Design du XXè siècle, les Dessins et les Tableaux Anciens, les Livres et Manuscrits, la Haute Epoque, le Mobilier et les Objets d’Art, la Photographie ou encore Vins et Spiritueux… Ces ventes sont enrichies de conférences, d’expositions-ventes et de projets innovants dans une démarche culturelle forte. L'équipe de PIASA compte une trentaine de collaborateurs basés à Paris et des représentants en région et en Belgique. Nos experts et nos différents départements travaillent pour fournir un éventail complet de services, qu'il s'agisse d'estimations en vue de vente, d'évaluations pour assurance, ou de conseils.

✨ Capturing the soul of South African jazz.

A pioneer of documentary photography, Jürgen Schadeberg (1931–2020) immortalized the vibrant cultural scene of 1950s Johannesburg.

This striking 1952 silver print captures Nathan "Dam-Dam" Mdledle, the charismatic lead singer of 'The Manhattan Brothers', mid-performance. Through masterful contrast and composition, Schadeberg freezes the raw energy and elegance of a defining musical era.
