Hey there,

I’m Rebecca, a hair and makeup artist hailing from the sunny streets of New Zealand, now living in Dundonald with my husband Colum and our 2 cheeky chihuahuas. In my 19 year career I have had the pleasure of working with 100’s of bridal parties, models, photographers, film makers and more! I was also incredibly honoured to be handpicked by world renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath to

join her team at Paris Fashion Week working with Louis Vuitton, Mui Mui, Stella McCartney, Valentino and Fenty x Puma

When I’m not skipping off to hob nob with celebs in Paris (haha, I really went for the baguettes and cheese) I absolutely ADORE helping my gorgeous brides complete their perfect bridal look, and offer bespoke packages to suit each party. I welcome everyone from all walks of life and offer a safe space for LGBTQIA+ folk. My brides often tell me that I’m fun to be around on their wedding morning and I like to provide my clients with a dependable, detail-oriented professional to add to the success of the creative team or wedding glam squad. Ended the day with a bouji date night because… priorities. 🌴✨

Brutally honest bridal makeup artist notes 😬💕
*“Natural” Makeup still takes time and product
* Please don’t show up with a face full of yesterday’s foundation in your hair and round your nose, thoroughly cleanse before makeup.
* Your favourite IG filter is not an achievable finish and neither is the AI inspo pic you pulled off pinterest.
*If you want glow, you need hydration, skin care matters more than any product in my kit, you can not hide texture. (This is why skin care and aesthetics consultations are included in my packages)
*3 weeks before your wedding is not the time to start a new skin care routine, plan this 6 months out for full results and to avoid any reactions affecting your wedding day look.
*For the love of god, brush your teeth BEFORE makeup, I don't want to smell your morning breath.
*Fake tan will make a big difference to how your makeup looks, wear the same tan to your makeup trial.
*If I'm constantly interrupted by people wanting things from you while you're in my chair, we WILL run late. Assign someone else to manage suppliers and bridal party queries while you're having your makeup done.
*Under no circumstances can anyone who has had their makeup done be steaming dresses or in a room with a steamer. Would you get your makeup done then spend 20mins in a steam room and expect it to still look good?
*I know you want your kids there however they will cause you a lot of stress if they're running around and want to climb on you after hair and makeup, stick their hands in my kit and worse, grab at hot tools. Assign someone not in your bridal party to mind them or book someone like Trust me, I've seen a million frazzled mums on wedding mornings.

Phew... feels good to get that off my chest 😂

If you’re dreaming about glam waves… there’s a few things you need to know…
Extensions? Yeah… there’s a high chance you’ll need those. Running your hands through your hair? Hard no bestie.

Glam waves are timeless, luxe and honestly gorgeous. But you deserve to know what to expect if this is your dream wedding hair:
1. They take a LONG time.�Not your everyday curls. You’ll be in the chair for at least 1.5 hours - often a full 2 hours.
2. You’ll probably need extensions.�Most people don’t have the density needed for that full, wave pattern. Even if you do, waves hold better with extensions IMO.
3. They are NOT a moveable hairstyle.�Tons of prep, tons of product, tons of backcombing. If you try to run your fingers through them, you will 100% get stuck, you’ve got to be committed to maintaining this style throughout the day.
4. They won’t look the same by the end of the night.�Sweat, hugs, weather, veils, and going mad on the dance floor = separation and frizz. I offer an all day service for this exact reason. Because honestly… it’s not “just curls”.
5. There are various finish options�For example this bride opted for a soft glam wave with more movement to suit her boho vibe, rather than a structured wave with no movement

Glam waves are one of the most requested, and one of the MOST technical and difficult bridal hair styles.�
Every section has to be curled the same direction, brushed, smoothed, set, polished, and aligned perfectly so they last an entire wedding day.

It takes time, but it’s SO worth it. 🤍✨
