So i've not posted much this month, reason being is that this damn fool managed to slice my hand so stiches were needed! And sitting around doing not a lot isn't me at all so i've been mainly working one handed for a couple of weeks! So.......the usual steady stream of mowers, triumph explorer fork seals, and an old XJ9 in for some extra safety brackets welded to the frame to secure the rear pillion perch. Plus some Rainey/Gpz work which was mainly bolt on stuff/electrics but that can wait until it's finished. Trust me, it's worth it!!

Now how about this for a survivor? 1988, when 160mph superbikes ruled the roost and the CBR1000 was the thinking man's choice of brutality with a touch of civility. Nigh on original and not seen the road for a good 10 years so it's needed the lot; tyres, fork seals/oil, caliper refresh with pads/fluids, service kit and loads of preventative work to ensure it's longevity! T'was an absolute pleasure to work on too, from an era when bikes could still be serviced by the average joe at home!

Putting this beauty up for sale shortly for a good mate of mine who passed away recently. 09' plate Ducati 1098S, with only 6k on the clock, ducati dealer serviced, full termis and the official ducati remap to suit! Not been used since 2022 but runs perfectly. I'm a bit unsure of it's actual value as it's the S version so it's more desirable than the standard ones, so what's people's opinion on a fair price for it?

Road trip to Havocpaint HQ today, and a Katana was duly purchased from Tom Davidson (cheers chief!) so it's back to SF Services HQ and the stripdown starts asap. The plan is to sell off the front end with the billet yokes/clips ons, braced GSX14 arm, front wheel with sawtooth discs, rear wheel, tockico 6 pots ect for a more conventional rwu front end, bandit 12 arm with twin shock mounts, and K1-3 wheels. So if you see anything you like, drop me a pm and we'll sort out a price. The seat? Not for sale!

Back in again for some more modifications! This time it's some stock header pipes mated to some aftermarket silencers with my linkpipes, a motogadget mini speedo to wire in, oil/filter/valves checked, chain and sprockets, plus a fitting of a safestart alloy starter motor guide that fits over the starter motor shaft to ensure trouble free starting and lastly some heavier clutch springs whilst i was in there. Runs much better with the stock headers, plus it helps that there's a bit more silencing over the original largely straight through stainless pipes that were fitted previously!!

Nice old VF just purchased! Always hankered after one and this one popped up for a good price! So i'll be on the lookout for some Fireblade wheels and forks, as these look the bo****ks with 'em in, plus some fruitier pipes and obligatory HRC stickers. Or it'll be gone in a week, you know how i roll after all!!

Putting this up for sale. Still in unused condition from the Worship show as i had no intention of riding it, so as new throughout with thousands spent, i've not even run it yet! It'll probably be going through Iconic's auction as i wanted to find someone who will appreciate it fully as it's been a labour of love for me so we'll see how that goes! Triumph Tiger 1050 in for some fork seals, new tyre and some front brake attention. Turns out there was only 400ml of oil in each leg, and it requires 583ml (30mm air gap) to work properly! Unsurprisingly it rode like a different bike according to the owner!
