Few updates to show that i've not been a complete slacker recently!! BMW R9T in for a battery swap (seat/tank off job so bigger than you'd think!) Harley in for silencer fitting with graphite sleeve gaskets (easy to break....) BMW F800ST fork seal swap, and a couple of bolt on side rails i knocked up for Harry Hobson's fishing trolley. The R9T is lovely isn't it? Yes, i bought it........

Autumn/Winter whiteboard updates! First up is Jason's long overdue CX500 to finish, plus his RZ250 to rebuild after it's stripdown. Bike no.1 up after that is Rich Knowles' EFE in for Busa Wheels/Forks/Swingarm upgrades, strip/powdercoat and fit new parts to replace as required. Bike no.2 is Andy Prince's WP11, wants a thorough sorting out plus a yosh big bore kit/TMR flatslides. Bike no.3 is Colin's Slabby 750, in for future proofing. Full strip and upgrade/replace as required plus some new shiny RS34s and anything else we find along the way! Bike No 4 is Brandon's HL500 replica fitted with an XT600 motor. Brackets/spacers/oil pipes/fit and finish basically! And that's not including Brian Mcintocks Worship build plus whatever arrives over winter!!

Couple of ol' seventies tiddlers dropped by today! So much nicer to look at than today's euro 5 strangled misery machines. That little gt left a pleasing amount of smoke and aural stimulation and it sounded utterly glorious to boot.

Lovely old pre divvy XJ600 in for a carb clean. Float seat o rings had split, dumping 5 litres of fuel inside the sump! All drained out, fresh oil and filter plus the new o rings/carb clean has it back purring away happily as it should. I like these, simpler engineering that you can service yourself, with decent riding positions for two people, and classic yamaha styling that's almost YPVS esque! And a certain Texan legend that did relatively well in the 500cc class rode one back in the 80's too! So they get my vote!

Worship show on sunday was another fabulous turn out! I won't bore you all with zillions of photos as there's plenty on here that have already done that. Great to catch up with RAYSONS EXHAUSTS and Ian Davis who are both gods at their respective crafts but truly lovely people to boot! Also a mention to founder dave solomon for his kind comments, and jon keeling of RACEFIT OFFICIAL who stopped for a chat and mentioned that he really liked the Gpz and wanted to buy it?!!! Now that made my day! Also a huge thanks to Gary Inman and the team behind for another successful day out.

Last pic is the starting point, rough as guts but low miles US import. See you all there hopefully, shaping up to be a cracker by some of the pics i've seen so far!

So, i've decided to try something different for a change, something with a slightly more relaxed way of being ridden. The MASH 650 X Ride Classic! French built using the name from that popular tv show from the 70's! Now, initial reports weren't inspiring so my first ride was a couple of miles and that confirmed what the reports were saying. But i love how it looks and there's plenty of potential trapped in that motor which is basically a Dominator 650 lump, so after a longer run out tonight i've decided to stick with it as it's barely run in so it should loosen up with miles, then i'll knock up an exhaust to free up the breathing and see about finding someone to help with ECU programming/dyno work.

Now here's a rare old beauty! 1982 Honda CX500 Turbo, 12k, all 100 percent original! In for both master cylinders to strip and refurb, plus some brake lines all round. I had to check the colour options were correct before fitting with the owner and yes, he chose the blue/purple.......stock hoses were saved for you purists out there so no drama! Really enjoyable bike to work on too with proper well thought out design and build quality.

I'm not a religious man. But i will be taking my arse along to West Bank in Leeds LS6 1LJ for THE finest motorcycle show in the country on Sunday 27th of September to join other like minded individuals in celebration of all things speed related. Worship Show. Nothing else compares to it!
