Oz & Tom’s English W**e Heroes 2026 Top 10!

We are delighted that our Gamay Noir 2025 has been recognised in Oz Clarke and Tom Surgey English W**e Heroes 2026 Top Ten for Kent.

The Top Ten w**es for each region were chosen “simply because they brought us both such joy in tasting. They grabbed our attention in one way or another to such an extent that they had to be in the Top Ten.”

Of our Gamay Noir Tom and Oz say “A fabulous, fresh-pressed ruby colour. Really juicy, sour cherry, cranberry and purple plum - the merest hint of red liquorice and mint. As fresh and juicy as the fruit from a Kentish farmer’s market stall. Last night we were delighted to support the Trafalgar Night celebrations at The Historic Dockyard Chatham

An annual Royal Navy tradition, Trafalgar Night commemorates the British victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 and honours the bravery, leadership, and sacrifice of Admiral Lord Nelson and his sailors. This event holds a special place in the hearts of all who cherish maritime history and tradition and we were extremely proud to once again support this remarkable occasion as drinks sponsor, with Julian also having the honour of proposing the Loyal Toast to HM The King.

Being a sponsor for this Trafalgar Night celebration is particularly special to us at Biddenden due to the historic significance of the Dockyard and also our shared values of preserving our past while looking to the future. This year the Dockyard are embarking on the start of an exciting new fundraising project to overhaul ‘Ajax’, a steam locomotive built in 1941 which served the Royal Dockyard as a steam locomotive until 1984 and we hope to see her returned to working order before her 90th birthday in 2031.

Thank you the organisers, catering team and everyone at The Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust for this wonderful evening and allowing us to be part of this special occasion.

On Friday, we all got together for our annual Kent County Show awards night!

It was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with friends, celebrate our successes in the show ring and look back on some great memories from a wonderful weekend.

We would like to say a huge congratulations to all those who received a trophy for their efforts at the Show and to EVERYONE who took part over the Kent County Show!

We would also like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all those who sponsored or supported us at the Kent County Show and to the Kent County Agricultural Society Kent County Show, Humphries and Parks and Biddenden Vineyards for supporting our Awards Night!
