Demand for aero-engine components is growing. So is our manufacturing capacity.
Construction is now underway on a $16 million expansion of GKN Aerospace’s North Charlestown facility in New Hampshire.

The expansion will add around 57,000 square feet to the site and bring additional manufacturing processes in-house, including turning, surface finishing and non-destructive testing. That means greater manufacturing capability and flexibility on site, helping us respond to customer needs as our business grows.

It’s a tangible example of how we scale aerospace manufacturing: investing in capacity, capabilities and people to support the next stage of growth.

Joakim Andersson, President Engines, GKN Aerospace, said:
" This investment will help us grow our capacity in the U.S. as demand from our engines customers continues to rise. It is an important step as we strengthen our ability to support customers and grow our business for the long term.”

For today's , we are looking back at a major milestone from September 2025 when GKN Aerospace launched a dedicated production line for the additively fabricated Fan Case Mount Ring (FCMR) in our Newington (US) facility, supporting the Pratt & Whitney GTF engine programmes for the Airbus A220 and Embraer E195-E2. By scaling this cutting-edge additive technology from Trollhättan, Sweden, to the US, we successfully strengthened our manufacturing footprint, created local jobs, and secured a sustainable supply chain for our global customers. 115 years ago, aviation pioneer Anthony Fokker flew over Haarlem's Sint-Bavokerk on 31 August 1911 in his first aircraft, the Spin.

Anthony Fokker's pioneering spirit laid the foundation for the renowned Fokker company. Today, that legacy lives on through the talented people, innovative technologies and aerospace expertise that are fully integrated into GKN Aerospace.

For this , we’re looking back at a major milestone in our journey to become the most trusted and sustainable partner in the sky.

One year ago, in August 2025, GKN Aerospace proudly achieved an EcoVadis Gold Medal, placing us in the top 5% of all assessed companies worldwide! Moving up from our 2024 Silver Medal, our overall score of 78 landed well above the aerospace manufacturing industry average.
The evaluation measured 21 benchmarks across Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement, with Environment shining as our strongest category. Twelve months later, that roadmap continues to guide us. We aren't standing still; we are actively using those insights to push our boundaries even further as we prepare for our next assessment. Less than a year from concept to demonstrator.

As Joakim Andersson, President Engines, GKN Aerospace, said: "One year ago, this was an idea and an ambition. Today, we are unveiling the first tangible result of that work."

Today, GKN Aerospace unveiled its UAV demonstrator, a major milestone in our collaboration with FMV and the Swedish Armed Forces. Bringing together expertise from Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK, the programme demonstrates how advanced aerospace technologies can be developed and integrated at pace.

It's and we're throwing it back to 21 July 1919, when aviation pioneer Anthony Fokker founded the N.V. Nederlandse Vliegtuigenfabriek (Dutch Aircraft Factory), laying the foundation for what would become one of the most iconic names in aerospace history and launching a legacy of innovation that would help shape aerospace for generations.

More than a century later, Fokker's legacy has evolved through generations of aerospace engineering excellence and, as part of GKN Aerospace since 2015, continues to shape the future of flight through advanced technologies, systems and structures.

In San Diego, our Repair Solutions expansion, opened in December 2024 following a $55 million investment, has significantly increased our capacity for aero-engine component Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO). Equipped with advanced automation, cutting-edge robotics and additive manufacturing technologies, the facility helps meet growing market demand, optimise repair processes, improve component reliability and reduce turnaround times.
