This week, meet David Hoult, our Head of Stadia and Events.
David brings over 16 years of experience in spectator safety, stadium operations and major events, including football, athletics, concerts and festivals.
His career began in 2010 as a Security Guard at Birmingham City FC. Through dedication and strong leadership, he progressed to Deputy Safety Officer and then Safety Officer, one of his proudest achievements.
During 15 years at the club, David gained his Level 4 Certificate in Spectator Safety and Level 5 Diploma in Crowd Safety Management. He led teams during Birmingham City’s UEFA Europa League campaign, supported the redevelopment of the Kop and Tilton Road stands and helped introduce safe standing facilities.
Another highlight was helping deliver UB40’s landmark concert at St Andrew’s, transforming the stadium into a live music venue.
In 2025, David became Safety Officer at Shrewsbury Town FC, overseeing stadium safety and preparations for the Protection of Premises legislation. He also supported Coventry City FC as Deputy Safety Officer.
David joined SNSG Security Services in June 2026 as Head of Stadia and Events.
Since then, he has led operations at Cheltenham Racecourse, the English Athletics Championships and the European Athletics Championships at Alexander Stadium.
A standout achievement involved overseeing more than 500 staff per day and welcoming over 50,000 spectators across a seven-day championship. He has also managed major festivals with crowds of 25,000–30,000.
With extensive experience in crowd safety, operational leadership and stakeholder partnerships, David is passionate about creating safe, secure and welcoming environments and contributing to SNSG’s continued growth.
