❌ Never badmouth your competitors. Build your own story instead.
There are two reasons why publicly attacking your competition rarely works:
👉 Your customers might already use, follow, or even like that competitor. Criticising them can feel like you’re criticising your audience.
👉 Every minute spent talking about someone else’s weaknesses is a minute not spent communicating your own strengths.
That’s why this famous Pepsi advert has stood the test of time.
A young boy buys two cans of Coke, places them on the floor, stands on them to reach a Pepsi from the vending machine, and walks away leaving the Cokes behind.
✅ No insults.
✅ No negativity.
✅ No direct attack.
Just a clever way of turning a perceived weakness into a strength.
The message wasn’t “Coke is bad.”
The message was:
“We’re worth going the extra mile for.”
That’s a lesson many businesses can learn from.
Whether you’re building a personal brand, growing a business, or creating content online, people respond far better to confidence than criticism.
Focus on what makes you different.
⭐️ Tell your story.
⭐️ Show your value.
⭐️ Let others make the comparison.
The strongest brands don’t spend their time shouting about the competition.
They spend their time becoming unforgettable.
