When a relative may need more help at home, the family group chat can become a busy place.

Before starting another long conversation, try this:

• Notice: share what you have actually seen, rather than guessing what it means.
• Listen: ask the person what feels difficult and what they would like help with.
• Agree: choose a manageable next step and decide who will follow it up.

That next step might be a visit, a conversation or finding out what support is available.

Keep the person whose care you are discussing involved, wherever possible. Their wishes belong at the centre of the conversation.

A huge congratulations to our new team members, Jess, Rachel, Peter, Liz, and Tina💙

This week they have completed the Homecare Assistant training and induction. They have worked hard learning new skills, contributed fantastic experiences and thoughts to group discussion, and laughed a lot!
