Bolton Sign is a company with over 20 years experience in sign manufacture, we have the knowledge and experience to meet the needs of the modern business. Catering for the high profile name and the smaller business, our client base ranges from major international retailing groups to some of the UK's largest corporate businesses. A professional team employing the latest equipment and techniques complete the manufacture of all signs in-house. Be it metal or acrylic fabrication, painting, or the application of vinyl graphics, or our very own Xperse signs.

Bolton Sign is looking for an experienced Welder to join our team on a temporary basis, with potential for a permanent position.

Skills & Requirements:
- Aluminium & mild steel MIG welding
- Stainless steel & aluminium TIG welding desirable
- No aluminium fabrication required, but some cutting to size may be involved
- Workshop-based work on signs, frames and other structures
- Able to work accurately from drawings and specifications
- Good attention to detail and workmanship

Job Details:

- Location: Bolton, BL2 6BD (Workshop-based)
- Contract: Temporary, potential to become permanent
- Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week
- Pay: Competitive, depending on experience
- Start: ASAP

We've been busy behind the scenes giving the Bolton Sign website a complete makeover, and we can't wait to show you!

Our brand-new website is on its way, with a fresh, modern design that's easier to navigate and gives you a much better look at everything we do.

Expect clearer information about our services, an improved showcase of our projects, plenty of inspiration and a much smoother experience from start to finish.

We've come a long way in over 30 years, and we wanted a website that truly reflects the work, craftsmanship and expertise behind Bolton Sign.

Coming November 2026 - and we'll be showing more sneak peaks in the meantime!

Yesterday's installation Oti’s Coffee, just in time for opening!

Indy came to us needing a quick turnaround, and we were more than happy to help bring the finishing touches to her new café.

Simple yet effective - laser-cut acrylic lettering mounted on stand-off fixings to create a 3D effect.

If you're local, be sure to pop in and show your support. We're so pleased to have played a small part in bringing Indy's vision to life and wish her every success with Oti's Coffee! ☕

(Always a bonus to spot some of our previous signage work right next door, too!)

Guess what came out of our little workshop in Bolton recently?

Straight to the red carpet in Birmingham for the immersive global premier of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man!

Aluminium solid faced built up letters constructed as a free standing feature with internal support frame for additional stability and strength.

Hand crafted by our in house fabricators, precision cut and meticulously shaped.

Big well done to our whole team for this one, from design and specification to our paint and finishing department. This truly demonstrates our passion for perfection.

Another project well done for BonBon Pottery Cafe in Kingston-upon-Thames, trough lights painted and swing signs to match.

An in depth survey was carried out prior to manufacture where we obtained templates to ensure the radius fascia trays were bob on!
