Natalie's Adventure to India Part 5: The Pink City & Relaxing Finale 🩷

The final chapter of Natalie’s India adventure… and what a way to end it - the Pink City of Jaipur, and a peaceful escape to the luxury Vanaashrya resort. 😍

“Wow… Jaipur. Of all the destinations on the itinerary this was the place I was most excited to visit – and it absolutely lived up to expectations.

Our day began at Amber Fort – an incredible palace complex built from pastel sandstone and white marble. Everywhere you looked there was another beautiful courtyard, intricate architecture or breathtaking view. Even this far into the trip, I was still being surprised by just how diverse India is.

From there, it was on to Jantar Mantar - a fascinating open-air observatory home to huge astronomical instruments - including India's largest sundial. It's amazing to think how advanced it was for its time – and completely different to anything else we'd seen on the tour. 🌠

Next stop was the City Palace- vibrant, colourful and packed with history - and I found myself constantly reaching for my camera! 📸

A real highlight of the Tigers & Taj Mahal tour is the chance to stay at Shahpura House, a 19th-century royal palace, full of character, opulence and history - a unique stay adding something extra special to the experience.

One of my personal highlights? Spending an evening with a local family. They welcomed us into their home for a cookery demo and dinner, and one of the most memorable experiences of the whole trip. It was lovely learning about their lives, cooking together and coming away with their family recipes. 🥘

To round off the adventure, we headed to the luxury jungle retreat of Vanaashrya for a stay in cosy cottages surrounded by nature. It was the perfect place to relax and reflect on everything we'd experience. And yes… the peacocks really do wander up to your cottage! 🦚

Looking back on the trip, what stands out most is the incredible variety. India is colourful, fascinating, welcoming and full of surprises. It's a destination that stays with you long after you've returned home 💚

Natalie's Adventure to India Part 4: In Search of the Bengal Tigers 🐅🔍

Following along with Natalie’s Indian adventure? This next stop is something completely different… welcome to Ranthambore! 👋

"Ranthambore was a total contrast to everything we’d seen so far - lush greenery, tranquil lakes and true wilderness vibes. It felt like stepping into a completely different world. 🌿

First up I was blown away with our hotel, Ranthambore Bagh Palace - a luxury retreat in the heart of the wilderness. Beautiful rooms, a peaceful pool, even a spa… the perfect place to unwind between adventures.

After time to relax, the experience began with a ‘tiger talk’ from a local naturalist, which gave us a real understanding of the wildlife and made the safari feel even more special. 💬

Then it was safari day! It was an early start, but I was too excited to care! Driving through Ranthambore National Park was incredible - the scenery, the sounds, the anticipation of what we might see… 👀

We spotted so much - crocodiles, spotted deer, sambar deer, peacocks… and then, unexpectedly, a sloth bear! Our guide told us how rare that was, which made it even more special. And just when we thought we wouldn’t see one… there they were. Tigers. Relaxing by the lake. Completely unforgettable." 🦌🦚
