If you’re running your business all in your head, it’s only a matter of time before things start slipping through the cracks.

That’s where strong systems come in. They keep your business sustainable, scalable, and most importantly, manageable to run.

With the right framework in place, you can:
✔️ Deliver a brilliant client experience without relying on memory
✔️ Make decisions with clarity instead of carrying it all in your head
✔️ Focus on growth, not juggling endless to-dos

In practice, that looks like:
🗂️ A structured CRM holding all your key data in one place
🛠️ Automated workflows so you don’t have to remember every step
👥 Project and team management that keeps everyone aligned
📧 Smooth onboarding and clear client communication
💬 Regular check-ins so nothing slips through the cracks
📋 System reviews that evolve as your business grows

Strong operations don’t just save time, they create consistency, ease, and the headspace to actually lead your business.

Now… we say this with LOVE…

“I help busy business owners free up time” is not clear enough.

Neither is:
✨ I take the overwhelm away
✨ I give you back your freedom
✨ I help you work ON your business
✨ I support female entrepreneurs behind the scenes

All Lovely.

But HOW? How do you do that?

Your potential client shouldn’t have to investigate your entire Instagram account like they’re on an episode of YOU 🔪 to work out what they can actually pay you for.

Be specific.

Instead of:
“I help busy business owners free up time.”

“I help service providers fix messy enquiry and follow-up processes so fewer leads slip through the cracks.”

NOW We understand.
We know who it’s for.
We know what you fix.

Being specific doesn’t make your business smaller.
It makes it easier for the right person to recognise themselves.

Because the goal isn’t for someone to land on your page and think:

“She sounds nice.”
The goal is for them to think:
“Oh s**t. I need that.”

If you’re a newer VA, can you please …… stop saying:

“I don’t really have much experience yet.”

You might be new to being a VA.
That does NOT mean you are new to being valuable.

What did you do before this?
Did you manage projects?
Organise events?
Deal with customers?
Manage diaries?
Handle finances?
Create processes?
Coordinate teams?
Work in HR?
Fix everyone’s tech problems?
Keep an office running?
Manage approximately 4,726 moving parts while everyone else wondered how you did it?

THAT is your experience.

You do not cross some magical line when you become self-employed where everything you knew beforehand suddenly stops counting.

In fact, some of your strongest offers could be hiding in the work you’ve already been doing for YEARS.

Instead of constantly looking online asking:

“What services should a VA offer?”
Try asking:
“What do I already know how to do REALLY well?”

Then ask:
Who needs that?
What problem does it solve?
What result could I package around it?

You might realise you’re sitting on a far stronger offer than the generic list of VA services you were about to copy from Instagram.

Here’s a very quick test for your VA business:

Could somebody refer you in ONE sentence?

Not:
“Oh she’s a VA… she does loads of things actually… bit of admin… tech… social media… I think she does launches too… you should message her.”

I mean:
“You need Sally. She sorts exactly that.”

Because THAT is what you want.

One of the biggest benefits of having a clear offer isn’t just that potential clients understand what you do.

It’s that other people understand what you do well enough to sell you when you’re not in the room.

And in the VA world, where referrals are HUGE, associate work is HUGE and recommendations MATTER

If someone says:
“My onboarding is an absolute mess.”
“My CRM desperately needs sorting.”
“I keep losing leads because I never follow up.”
“I want to launch but the tech is making me want to cry.”

You want someone in that conversation to IMMEDIATELY think of YOU!

That only happens when you become known for solving something specific.
So here’s your challenge:

Ask your business bestie…
“If someone asked what I help people with, what would you say?”

The challenge is …don’t correct them. Their answer will show you how clear your positioning actually is.

If they say something thats way off, you know you need to fix this!

It only takes me an hour…

And..WHAT?

This is one of the biggest pricing traps we see VAs fall into.

Something takes you an hour, so you automatically decide it can’t possibly be worth £300, £500 or even £1,000.

But you’re forgetting WHY it only takes you an hour

Because you’ve spent years learning how to do it.
Because you can spot the problem quickly.
Because you know what matters and what doesn’t.
Because you’ve probably solved a version of it 25 times before.
Because the result of the task generates £1,000 + income for your client

Your client isn’t paying you to struggle for eight hours so they feel like they’ve got their money’s worth.

They’re paying you to get them from:
“I have absolutely no idea what’s going on here.”
to
“Thank GOD that’s sorted.”

Your calm has value.
Your judgement has value.
Your ability to see what somebody else can’t see has value.
Your experience has value.
And your SPEED has value too.

So please stop adding unnecessary deliverables to an offer just to make the price feel justified.

Simple does not mean low value.

Sometimes simple is exactly what somebody is paying you for.

One of the biggest mistakes we see VAs make when creating an offer?

They only ask themselves “Will people buy this?”

But there’s another question that matters just as much:
“Do I actually want to keep delivering this?”

Because you can create an offer that looks brilliant on paper…It solves a problem and there’s demand for it. And …People are willing to pay for it.

But if every time somebody books it you think, FFS, not another one 😅
…you haven’t created a great offer.

You’ve created yourself another headache job that you resent!

A strong offer is:
→ what you’re genuinely good at
→ what you actually enjoy doing
→ what your ideal client needs
→ and a result they’re willing to pay for

Ignore the client and it won’t sell.
Ignore yourself and eventually you won’t want to sell it.

Your business model needs to work for BOTH you and your clients.

So if you’re reviewing your offers right now, don’t just ask what could make you money.

Ask:
Would I be happy if 10 people bought this next month?

Your answer will tell you a lot.
