Today, we delivered fresh supplies of Oatley Jane’s to in . And naturally, we stayed for lunch!

Chef Olivier Certain’s Dish of the Day was a delicious baked loin of cod in a Thai-inspired vegetable broth, perfectly paired with a glass of Viognier. 🐟
And a pleasure to see our Jane’s listed first on such a distinguished list of still white wines! 🥂

A lovely local wine bar in Taunton run by sommelier Philippe, great food from Olivier and a little Oatley pride. ❤️

🍇 And that’s a wrap on our black grapes! 🍷
Yesterday, Ned, Paula, Beth and I brought in the tiny harvest from our top block of Pinot Noir, destined for another of Ned’s red wine experiments in the Oatley micro-winery.
That’s the last of our black grapes safely in, ready for a little winemaking magic as we explore reds and rosés after an exceptionally hot, dry summer. ☀️
Now comes the exciting part… watching the wines develop and waiting to see what this vintage has in store. We can’t wait to taste the results! 🍷❤️

A tiny harvest, and a family effort! 🍇🍷

The rest of our young Cab Noir — a Piwi, disease-resistant hybrid that we’re still experimenting with — was picked and crushed on Thursday by Ned and Paula.

This small crop is destined to become a varietal red, made here as part of the next generation’s growing adventures in the Oatley micro-winery. ❤️🍷

🍇 Rosé harvest! 🍇

Yesterday, 4 September, we picked our Pinot Noir (Champagne clone) — more than last year, but still a small vintage after two very dry years. Our young vines are taking their time getting established!

Now it’s over to Ned, making the wine here in the Oatley micro-winery. 🍷

And a huge thank you to our lovely friends who came to help at very short notice. ❤️

From vine to bottle, it really is a team effort!

A huge thank you to an amazing team of very hardy pickers for the challenging Oatley Madeleine Angevine harvest, 29 August 2026! And to Ned and Paula for a really delicious meal. The crop was big and the weather was … errr mixed!

So, sorry folks, our summer opening is over for 2026. The first time ever in our 37 vintages we’ve picked in August.

For all you wine nerds out there, the sugars yesterday averaged 75 Oechsle (10.7% natural alcohol) and the acid average was 8.5g/l, the lowest we want to pick at. So no time to hang about… or the chooks’ll have’em all!
