Willshees Group are delighted to announce the acquisition of the Business and Assets of Jones Skips (Wolverhampton).

The acquisition of Jones Skip by Willshees Group marks an important step in strengthening waste management and recycling services across the Midlands.

The acquisition package included the rescue of 80 Jobs at Jones Skips.
By bringing together the experience, local knowledge and customer-focused approach of both businesses, the acquisition enhances the Group’s ability to deliver reliable, compliant and sustainable waste solutions to a wider customer base.

Jones Skip Hire has built a strong reputation for dependable skip hire and waste management services throughout Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas. Joining the Willshees Group allows customers to benefit from an expanded range of services, greater operational resources and increased recycling capabilities, while maintaining the high standards of service they have come to expect.

The acquisition supports Willshees Group’s continued growth strategy and commitment to investing in people, infrastructure and environmental performance.

Together, the combined business is well positioned to provide comprehensive waste and recycling solutions, helping organisations across the region improve efficiency, achieve compliance and maximise recycling opportunities.

Implementing Digital Waste Tracking on 1 October marked an important step forward in strengthening the accuracy, transparency and reliability of our waste management processes.

Since going live, the system has delivered an outstanding start, achieving 100% completion with no missed entries or errors.

This success demonstrates how effective digital processes can transform the way waste information is recorded and managed.

Every required entry has been captured since implementation, creating a consistent and dependable digital record while reducing the risk of information being overlooked.

The transition has also demonstrated the commitment of our teams to embracing smarter ways of working. Moving towards a more structured digital approach provides greater confidence in the information available and creates a strong foundation for maintaining high standards of waste tracking in the future.

Most importantly, achieving zero missed entries since 1 October shows that Digital Waste Tracking is not simply a new system, but a process that has quickly become embedded within day-to-day operations.

We are seeking an experienced and capable Control Room Operator / MRF Shift Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a busy Material Recovery Facility.

This is a key supervisory position requiring someone who can confidently lead a team, monitor plant performance, manage operational priorities and work closely with the maintenance team to keep the facility running safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous supervisory or management experience within a waste, recycling, manufacturing, production, or similar industrial environment.

**Applicants must hold a valid Category C or C+E Licence, Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.**

Previous waste industry experience is beneficial but not essential, as we're looking for people with a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a commitment to professionalism.
