Our members brightened up the meeting when a members pitch turned into a group sing-a-long. Well we do like to do networking differently here North West Networking. Melissa (in the hood) boosted moods further by characterising a funny substitute pitch for James at Murray Building Contractors, great acting skills Melissa. Substitutes today included Bev from Cosalea Walshaw and nurse Joanne Denby from Bury Hospice. At todayโ€™s meeting members and guests worked together and shared so much.
The member spotlight was provided by Mel from Lemon Tree Social our very own Certified Digital Marketing professional. Mel provides a range of affordable services; social media, digital marketing, web development, blog writing and SEO optimisation. Her service is bespoke focusing on 1-2-1 relationships.
Guests today; Callum commercial insurance specialist from Swinton Insurance and Amanda from Maggies independent florist specialising in funerals.
Lee will be delighted to know that Jane enlightened us on the wedding ceremony she performed on East Lancashire Railway and Learn the Law with Mark provided clarity on โ€˜Habeas Corpusโ€™.

A positive ambience

Our meetings always provide a welcoming atmosphere and today was no exception. Lots of laughter amongst the group mixed with business referrals and useful guidance. Mark Taylor explained all the different types of Judges within his Learn the Law spot. Lee Kenny highlighted the 40year anniversary for ELR next year and an array of other events. Michelle Hollewyn MCIPD ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ explained employment law changes are coming into effect after the New Employment Rights Bill passed in December 2025. Our guest David Close will be providing the photography for Bury Hospice Strictly event on 18.4.26. And Gabrielle Royle and Lisa MOORE said tickets are still available. Karen Cargill highlighted the perfectionist traits of some anxiety sufferers and Melissa Raynor was excited to have won black puddings in the Bury Means Business event raffle.
