We're delighted to welcome Sylwia Muzyka to the Morphry Thyme team this week! 🎉

Sylwia joins us as a Bookkeeper, bringing with her a wealth of experience from both accountancy practice and office and operations administration roles. She is AAT Level 3 qualified, and has completed Sage Payroll training.

With a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a varied professional background, Sylwia will be supporting our bookkeeping team with client accounts, VAT returns, and day-to-day financial administration.

Outside of work, Sylwia enjoys travelling and going on adventures with her family, exploring new places and creating lasting memories together. She also loves tackling brain puzzles, keeping her problem-solving skills sharp, and spending time in the kitchen trying out new recipes and baking treats for family and friends.

We're excited to have Sylwia on board and look forward to seeing her grow with the business.

🎉 Happy 1st Work Anniversary, Angel! 🎉

Today we're celebrating Angel's first anniversary with Morphry Thyme, and we can't quite believe how quickly the past 12 months have flown by.

Since joining us as an apprentice, Angel has taken every challenge, task and learning opportunity in his stride. His positive attitude, willingness to learn and determination to develop his skills have been evident from day one, and it's been a genuine pleasure for the whole team to watch him grow in confidence and flourish in his role.

Over the last year, Angel has gained valuable experience, embraced new responsibilities and become a much-valued member of the team. We're incredibly proud of everything he has achieved so far and the progress he has made.

We're also delighted that this milestone coincides with another exciting one, as Angel is now dropping the 'Apprentice' title and stepping into his new role as Bookkeeper. It's a well-deserved achievement and a reflection of all the hard work, commitment and progress he has made throughout the year. 👏

Of course, we couldn't let the occasion pass without mentioning one of his most appreciated contributions to office life... the regular offers of tea and coffee! ☕ We'd like to think that's a direct result of our excellent in-house training programme. 😉

Thank you for all your hard work, Angel, and for the enthusiasm and positivity you bring to the team every day. We look forward to seeing what the next year brings and watching you continue to develop and succeed.

Volunteer Director (Non-Executive)

The Mid-Norfolk Railway is entering an exciting new chapter, and we're looking for passionate, commercially minded individuals to join the Board of Mid-Norfolk Railway (Trading) Ltd.

As a Volunteer Director, you'll help provide strategic direction and oversight across a range of commercial activities, including:

● Catering and hospitality
● Retail and merchandising
● Special events and visitor experiences
● Venue and asset hire
● Commercial partnerships and sponsorship
● New business opportunities and income generation

You don't need previous railway experience—we're far more interested in your professional knowledge and enthusiasm.

We're particularly keen to hear from people with experience in:

🎉💚 Morphry Thyme is 5 years old! 💚🎉

Five years ago, Morphry Thyme was just an idea, a laptop, and a determination to help small businesses feel more confident about their finances and back-office support.

As we celebrate our 5th birthday, we've been looking back through hundreds of photos and memories from the last five years, and it's incredible to see just how far we've come.

This video captures just a few of the moments that have shaped our journey. The celebrations, the team days, the challenges we've overcome, the milestones we've reached, and the people who have helped make Morphry Thyme what it is today.

What started as one person has grown into a team of 14, supporting businesses with bookkeeping, management accounts, payroll, HR administration and credit control. Along the way, we've built wonderful relationships, welcomed amazing clients, and had the privilege of supporting so many businesses on their own journeys.

But behind every number, every payroll run, every client meeting and every success story is a team of people who genuinely care.

To our brilliant team, past and present, thank you. Your hard work, dedication, talent and kindness are at the heart of everything we do.

To our clients, thank you for trusting us to be part of your business journey. Your support means more than you'll ever know.

And to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and championed Morphry Thyme over the last five years, thank you for helping us reach this milestone.

We're incredibly proud of what we've achieved together, but we're even more excited about what the future holds.

We've loved having Freya with us this week for her work experience placement! 😊

During her time at Morphry Thyme, Freya spent time learning about bookkeeping, payroll, management accounts, HR and what it's really like to work in a small accountancy practice.

One of the highlights of the week was the time she spent with Angel, our apprentice. It was wonderful to see Angel sharing his own experiences and explaining what it's like to start a career in accountancy through an apprenticeship route. We hope it helped Freya see that there are many different pathways into the profession and gave her a real insight into what those early career opportunities can look like.

Freya also worked on a project exploring the different roles within the business and presented what she'd learned at the end of the week. It was great to see her confidence grow and to hear about the areas that interested her most.

A special thank you to Freya for the lovely card, shortbread and chocolates she brought in for the team – such a thoughtful surprise! 🍫❤️

Something that really stood out to us was a comment from Freya's teacher, who said that fewer employers are now taking on work experience students. That's a real shame, because these opportunities can have such a positive impact on young people who are trying to make decisions about their future.

Work experience gives students a chance to:
✅ Explore potential careers
✅ Build confidence in a workplace environment
✅ Meet professionals and learn from their experiences
✅ Develop skills they can't learn in a classroom alone

As employers, we all have an opportunity to help inspire and encourage the next generation. If you're able to support a student for a few days, we'd really encourage you to consider offering a work experience placement. You never know where it might lead.
