✨ We’re delighted to welcome Emma Livingstone to the Morphry Thyme team! ✨

Emma joins us as an Accounts Assistant, bringing with her a strong background in finance, she has a degree in Accounting & Finance and experience working as a Finance Assistant for a number of well‑known companies. Her time in industry has given her a practical, hands‑on approach and a real understanding of how finance works behind the scenes in busy businesses.

She’ll be supporting our clients across bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounts, helping to keep everything running smoothly and taking the stress out of the numbers.

When she’s not working her magic with spreadsheets, Emma is kept busy by her two Dalmatians, Charlie and Elsie, who definitely keep life interesting! She also enjoys a good DIY challenge and is always improving her skills with a little help from her dad’s tips and tricks.

Today marks three years of Lorna being a key part of the Morphry Thyme team 💚

Lorna joined us back in 2023 as an Accounts Assistant, bringing with her a brilliant mix of real-world business experience, from running a family business to working in its finance department after acquisition. That practical knowledge shines through in everything she does.

She’s diligent, detail-focused, and incredibly dependable, and it’s no surprise that our clients consistently speak so highly of her! What's more, she does it all with a calm, capable approach that makes a real difference to both the team and our clients.

Today is World Health Day. A reminder that wellbeing isn’t a “nice to have”, it’s essential.

At Morphry Thyme, we check in, we support, we listen, and we make space for people to be human. And this year, we’ve taken even bigger steps to back that up.

We’re currently in talks with Nicki Williamson from No Time Like Now to bring wellbeing and Mental Health First Aid training to our team, because understanding each other matters.

We’ve also introduced private medical cover through Kay Skelton at WPA and have an Employee Assistance Programme in place, giving our team access to real support when they need it most.

We take the health and wellbeing of our people seriously.
Healthy teams create healthy businesses and we’re proud to invest in both.

A quick payroll reminder for April:
Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) is now payable from day 1, not day 4.

That means:
• No waiting days
• Faster support for unwell employees
• Payroll processes may need updating
• Managers may need a refresher on reporting sickness

New tax year, new National Minimum Wage rates.

From 1 April, all employers must ensure every employee’s pay meets (or exceeds) the updated NMW/NLW rates.
