Which room are you in?

As a business grows, the leadership challenge changes.

At the Build stage, the question is often:

“How do I stop being at the centre of everything?”

You’ve got a successful, growing business. But more people, more decisions and more moving parts mean it’s becoming harder to keep your hands on everything.

Build is about creating the capability around you and finding a better balance between doing, leading and letting go.

At the Scale stage, the challenge changes:

“How do I lead a more complex organisation without losing what made it successful?”

Now it’s less about doing more yourself and more about leading through others - creating alignment, accountability and a business that isn’t dependent on particular people.

Scale is about balancing complexity with clarity, growth with sustainability, and leadership with capacity.

Different challenges. Different conversations.
But the same purpose:

A room where leaders think better. Together.

That’s why we have LEADER Club Build & Scale.

If you’re wondering which room is right for you, have a look at the options or get in touch and let’s have a conversation.

Which sounds more like your world right now - Build or Scale?

ON iT - Key Resources

What does your business really depend on?

When we think about resources, we often think about the obvious things:

People.
Technology.
Equipment.
Premises.
Money.

But some of the most important resources in a business don’t appear on a balance sheet.

The knowledge sitting in someone’s head.

The relationship only one person owns.

The system that only one person knows how to use.

The capability that your customers value, but perhaps only one person can deliver.

And that’s when Key Resources becomes more than another box on the Business Model Canvas.

It becomes a leadership question:

Are you building a business with the resources it needs to thrive, or one that’s dependent on a few people holding everything together?

That’s the question we’re exploring in this week’s ON iT reel.

What is the one resource your business couldn’t afford to lose?

We’d love to hear your thoughts.

The most awesome place…..and our business home ❤️

What does your business actually have to be brilliant at?

It’s a question that sounds simple.

But ask a business owner what they do every day and the list can be endless.

Sales. Emails. Meetings. Operations. Admin. Problem solving. Firefighting…

The challenge isn’t necessarily to do more.

It’s to work out what really matters.

Key Activities are the things your business must consistently do well to deliver the value you promise your customers.

And there’s a balance to find.

Do too much yourself and you become the bottleneck.

Delegate too much and you can lose what makes your business special.

Try to be brilliant at everything and you risk exhausting the whole system.

So here’s the question we’re asking in this week’s ONiT reel:

If you could only be brilliant at three things in your business, what would they be?

It’s a deceptively powerful question.

Every business needs revenue.

But healthy businesses create something far more valuable.

A sustainable exchange of value.

When customers feel they’ve received real value…
When the business generates enough profit to invest and grow…
And when the leader has the capacity to keep leading well…

That’s when a business finds its balance.

In this week’s ON iT reel, we explore Revenue Streams through a simple LEGO® analogy and ask a bigger question:

Is your business just generating revenue… or is it designed to thrive?

These are exactly the kinds of conversations we have every day with founders, family firms and independent organisations.

If this way of thinking resonates with you, we’d love you to continue the conversation.

🎥 Watch the full ON iT series on our YouTube channel, The Leader Room, where we explore practical ideas to help leaders build healthier, more sustainable businesses.

Because better businesses don’t happen by accident.

They happen when leaders create the space to think.
