With more than 20 years of experience in the metalwork industry, our team specialises in restoring and maintaining period and historic metalwork, design and build projects of all kinds, large or small.At Wrought Iron Sussex we work for a wide range of clients, from architects and commissioners to private individuals. The nature of our work is equally diverse ranging from larger scale restoration p

rojects or public art to smaller bespoke interior pieces. We find particular inspiration in the traditional construction and fixing methods that feature so strongly in the blacksmith’s craft. Combining contemporary design and modern metalwork practice with more traditional methods allows us to create work that is firmly rooted in the present.

Finally completed historic gate restoration for a local family, following a long period trying to get additional funding from the Rolls Royce members club.

Original gate commissioned by Sir Henry Royce around 1918 and design by the artist Eric Gill - maker unknown.

I should like to publicly express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Matthew Howard from design, through manufacture and installation, to completion of the external handrails he has provided either side of the steps to our front door.
The quality of the installation and standard of finishing is perfect and Matthew is a pleasure to deal with, having previously rescued us from the error of purchasing an inferior and defective garden gate (on delivery) from an online midlands based supplier.
