🚶‍♂️ One Million Steps... and we reckon Brian is counting every single one! 👣😂
Our very own Brian Colley has taken on the incredible challenge of walking ONE MILLION STEPS in support of Diabetes UK. 💙
Now, if you've ever met Brian, you'll know he doesn't do things by halves... although we're not entirely convinced he isn't just pacing around thinking about spreadsheets and budgets! 📊😄
On a serious note, diabetes affects millions of people across the UK, and every donation helps support research, education and those living with the condition.
If you'd like to cheer Brian on (or help make all those blisters worthwhile!), we'd be hugely grateful if you could support his fundraising.
Every step counts. Every donation helps. ❤️
You can support Brian here:

Good luck Brian – we're all behind you! 👏

🏆 What an incredible journey for Glyn Wylfa Ltd.

Last night our Chairman, Mick Ramsey, and Finance Director, Brian Colley, attended the HSBC UK & FSB National Small Business Growth Awards at The Savoy in London, where Glyn Wylfa proudly represented Wales and the South West as the regional winner of the Community Award.

Whilst we didn't take home the national title, we are immensely proud and honoured to have been recognised alongside some truly inspirational businesses from across the UK, all making a positive difference in their communities.

To be named the regional winner and invited to the national finals is a tremendous achievement for our social enterprise and a reflection of the dedication of our staff, volunteers, directors, tenants, customers and supporters who make Glyn Wylfa and Cafe - Caffi Wylfa what they are.

Our mission has always been simple: to benefit the local community. Whether through providing jobs, supporting local charities and community groups, offering affordable business accommodation, hosting events, or creating a welcoming hub for residents and visitors alike, everything we do is driven by that purpose.

A special thank you to HSBC UK and the Federation of Small Businesses for recognising community-focused organisations and giving businesses like ours the opportunity to showcase the impact they make.

Brian reports that we received fantastic recognition and coverage as the regional winner throughout the evening, and it was a privilege to hear from Dragons' Den star Sara Davies, who passed on her congratulations to all of the finalists.

Congratulations to the national winner and to every business shortlisted. We are proud to have shared the stage with you.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Glyn Wylfa over the last 13 years. This recognition belongs to all of us.

Huge news for Glyn Wylfa Ltd… we are absolutely delighted to share that we have been named Winner – Community Category (Wales & South West) at the HSBC UK & FSB Small Business Growth Awards. 🏆

I had the honour of attending the awards ceremony in Bristol to accept the award on behalf of the company, and it was a genuinely proud moment for us all.
To be recognised in such strong company is incredible and reflects the hard work, commitment and passion shown every day by our team across both Glyn Wylfa Ltd and Caffi Wylfa. From our café staff, office tenants, directors and volunteers, to everyone working behind the scenes – this award belongs to all of you.

Since 2013, our mission has been simple: benefit the local community. Whether through creating jobs, supporting local groups and charities, providing a welcoming hub for residents and visitors, or reinvesting into our facilities for the future, we are proud to be a business with purpose.

A huge thank you also goes to our fantastic customers, tenants, supporters and wider community. Your support is what makes everything possible.

And finally, thank you to these prestigious organisations for recognising what we do:

HSBC and Federation of Small Businesses

Please help us celebrate and share the good news!

Glyn Wylfa is supporting North Wales business and community transport links. Director Cllr Brian Colley and Cllr Terry Evans joined other Councillors and business leaders on the WSMR train to London to lobby support for the proposed new direct rail service from North Wales, Shropshire and the Midlands to London, Euston. Thanks to WSMR (Wrexham Shropshire Midlands Rail) who provided a great service.
