Alreet, cha! 👋

You know you're in Preston when you're greeted like this!

A familiar bit of Lancashire dialect spotted while out and about in the city.

With our roots firmly in Lancashire and our teams working across Preston and throughout the wider North West, this is a greeting we know well!

Happy Friday from everyone at Black Box Group!

A great day at the North West Business Expo!

It was a pleasure to attend the North West Business Expo at Bolton Wanderers' Toughsheet Community Stadium on Friday.

Organised by Shout Connect, the event brought together businesses from across the region for a day of networking, new connections and some really interesting conversations.

It's always good to get out and meet the people behind the businesses that make the North West such a great place to work.

A big thank you to the organisers for putting on a fantastic event.

And, of course, we couldn't resist stopping to admire the Porsches while we were there!

We've sprung forward, now it's time to fall back!

A little reminder that the clocks go back one hour tomorrow morning, Sunday 25th October, as British Summer Time comes to an end.

Don't forget to change your clocks and enjoy that extra hour in bed!

Today, on Breast Cancer Awareness Day, we're reminded that awareness starts with a conversation, and support can make all the difference.

Together, we stand with everyone affected by breast cancer.

Fire detection is vital, but it's only one part of keeping your people ands assets safe.
Clearly maintained escape routes, emergency lighting, appropriate signage and unobstructed fire doors all play an imperative role in helping people evacuate safely in an emergency.
It can be easy for everyday things, a delivery left in a corridor, a door propped open or equipment moved into an escape route, to become part of the furniture.
A simple reminder to take a look around your premises today. Sometimes the easiest safety checks are the ones we overlook.

Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day💚
This is a reminder that looking after our mental health is just as important as looking after our physical health, and that sometimes the smallest gestures can make a real difference.
Check in with a colleague. Call a friend you haven’t spoken to for a while. Make time for a proper conversation. And, most importantly, don’t be afraid to say when you’re not okay either.
We all have difficult days, and none of us really knows what someone else might be dealing with behind the scenes.
So today, and every day, be kind, make time and keep talking.
