Repton Security Ltd holds Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) accreditation from the Security Industry Authority for the provision of Security Guarding and Door Supervision. ACS approval involves annual external audits to assess all aspects of our operational and business practices. In our most recent audit (March 2015), we maintained our position amongst the top 25% of ACS companies nationwide. We also hold accreditations from the Security Institute (SyI), and EPIC (Ex-Police in Industry & Commerce). All contracts are undertaken subject to a full Risk Assessment, made by our own qualified personnel. Our Risk Assessors are qualified to Level 3 with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

Well done to RSL Security Officer Gary for his fantastic efforts in raising £1026 for Repton Security Ltd.’s Charity of the year . Gary’s combination of the charity fishing match held last month and the sale of his handmade wildlife pin badges was a creative way to support Parkinson’s UK.

Repton Security Ltd will match the amount raised to bring the total to £2052

Parkinson's UK is the largest charity funder of Parkinson’s research in the UK, and donations like this help fund everything from specialist Parkinson’s nurses to ground breaking treatment research and support services for people living with Parkinson’s.

Sadly, the South of Derbyshire and Ashbourne areas are currently experiencing a series of thefts and break-ins targeting farms, outbuildings, and rural properties.

⚠️ Please remain vigilant and take steps to secure your property to deter criminals.

3 Kubota tractors stolen while owner briefly left site. One later recovered – 2 still outstanding.

🚐 Hatton Fields (20/06/26, 03:00–03:27)

Offenders cut through a gate chain to access a storage site and steal a white Bailey Phoenix 640 Plus caravan.

🚧 Foston (22–24/06/26)

Offenders entered site and stole a 9-tonne dumper truck.

Offenders gained access to farmland, cutting through bushes and stealing two flatbed trailers.

| More than a quarter of summer burglaries happen when people leave keys in locks, doors unlocked, or windows ajar, even just for a moment.

In warm weather, it's tempting to leave windows open or nip out without locking up. But burglars are opportunists - and summer makes it easier for them to strike.

Here are some tips to keep your home secure this summer:

• Even if you're just heading into the garden or nipping to a neighbour’s, lock doors and windows. Opportunistic burglars only need seconds.
• Hide keys and valuables - never leave keys in locks or visible through windows and keep valuables out of sight.
• Secure sheds and garages - these often contain tools that burglars can use to break into your home. Use padlocks and consider alarms.
• Check your garden - trim hedges and trees near windows to reduce hiding spots. Lock away ladders and bins that could be used to climb.
• Install a video doorbell or CCTV - these not only deter burglars but also help gather evidence if needed.
• Heading on your hols? Let trusted neighbours know you’re away. They can keep an eye out and report anything suspicious.
• Don’t overshare on social media - avoid posting holiday plans or location tags that reveal your home is empty.
