🍃 Wow, what a week it has been! 🍃

We are now officially settled into our new saleroom in the heart of Colyton, and what a wonderfully busy first week it has been.

We’ve been absolutely delighted by the warm welcome we’ve received, with so many familiar faces and new visitors coming through the doors. A huge thank you to everyone who has popped in, sent their good wishes or helped make our first week in Colyton such a memorable one.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be Friday without a Friday Drop!

This week’s new arrivals include a fantastic selection of silver, collectables, jewellery, vinyl records, vintage pieces and much more, all newly added to our Continuous Online Auction.

Our new premises in Market Place mark an exciting new chapter for Lyme Bay Auctions and will become our main saleroom and office — a welcoming new home for valuations, consignments and meeting with customers.

After much planning, we are incredibly pleased to finally open the doors and become part of Colyton’s wonderful community of independent businesses.

Our Harepath Road premises in Seaton will continue to operate as our stock depot and collection hub, supporting our continuous online auctions and allowing us to continue growing our services across Devon, Dorset and Somerset.

A huge thank you to all our clients, customers and friends who have supported us along the way. We’re very excited about this next chapter and look forward to welcoming familiar faces — and new ones — to our new home.

🍃 MID-CENTURY DESIGN 🍃

A fantastic collection of Mid-Century furniture is currently featuring in our Continuous Online Auction, with some particularly good examples of Danish design.

Including pieces by Johannes Anderson, Erling Torvits and Kristian Illum Wikkelsø, the collection features beautifully designed sideboards, dining furniture and occasional tables.

✨ Currently featuring in our Continuous Online Auction is an exceptional Louis Vuitton Library Trunk.

Commissioned in 1910 in collaboration with Cambridge University, the item was one of just 1,000 produced to house the 1911 edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica.

Featuring the iconic LV monogram canvas, leather-bound edges, brass fittings and its original flock-lined interior, it is a truly remarkable piece of Louis Vuitton history.
