🐣🌱 A CRACKING VINE UPDATE 🌱🐣

The vineyard team have got a brilliant vine update today, they have found a Greenfinch nest hidden amongst the vines.

A true sign that nature is all around the vineyard, including a litter of leverets (babies Hares).

The vines have also reached the next stage in their growth cycle, flowering, where the green bulb shaped nodules open to reveal these white flowers.

Next in the vines growing stages is berry growth, whereby the white flowers will fall away and small hard green berries will form. These will then create the bunches of grapes all around the vineyard.

Fun fact: Did you know that all grapes begin their formation green and red varieties do not gain their colour until later in the growth stages called Veraison 🍇

Looking for a reason to visit the vineyard this week? We have a fantastic line-up of events to enjoy amongst the vines:

☕ Tuesday 16th June – Coffee Morning
Freshly ground coffee, homemade cakes and a warm welcome.

🧺 Thursday 18th June – Vineyard Picnic
Enjoy a delicious picnic basket followed by a guided tour of the vineyard and winery.

🫖 Friday 19th June – Afternoon Tea
A selection of afternoon tea favourites served with beautiful vineyard views.

🍷 Saturday 20th June – Wine Bar
Relax with a glass of wine, tasty food specials and great company. Only a limited number of tickets remain!
