🎉 Congratulations to Tanya Hughes BEM! 🎉

Everyone at Inspire Business Centre is delighted to congratulate our dedicated Volunteer Board Member, Tanya Hughes, on being awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in recognition of her outstanding service to communities across Northern Ireland.

Tanya's full-time work at Ballybeen Women’s Centre has had a profound impact on the lives of countless women, families, and local residents. Through her leadership, dedication, and commitment to community development, she has helped create opportunities, provide vital support, and empower people to reach their full potential.

Tanya brings the same passion, integrity, and commitment to her voluntary role with Inspire Business Centre, and we are proud to benefit from her experience, insight, and unwavering belief in the power of community.

This prestigious honour is a fitting recognition of Tanya’s years of service and the positive difference she continues to make every day. We are incredibly proud to see her contribution acknowledged in this way.

Our Director, Tanya Hughes, has been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the King's Birthday Honours. Tanya has dedicated more than 30 years to Ballybeen Women's Centre, making an extraordinary contribution to women, young people, families and the wider community. She established our Young People's Peer Education Project, went on to serve as Health Programmes’ Coordinator and has led Ballybeen Women's Centre as Director since 2002.

This honour is a fitting recognition to Tanya's dedication and commitment, vision and leadership over many years. Her passion for supporting and empowering others has touched countless lives and helped shape Ballybeen Women’s Centre into the thriving organisation it is today.

We had a fantastic session with the Men’s Group from Dundonald Methodist Church, sharing the story of Inspire Business Centre and the work we’re proud to do as a local enterprise agency.

From supporting new start-ups to helping established businesses grow, we’re passionate about strengthening the Dundonald community through enterprise, innovation, and collaboration. It was a real privilege to talk about our programmes, activities, and the many ways we work alongside local people to turn ideas into reality.

✨ What you’ll do:
• Lead day-to-day operations of Inspire Business Park
• Oversee facilities, property management & site development
• Build strong relationships with tenants & stakeholders
• Manage contractors, compliance & health & safety
• Drive high standards across a multi-tenant commercial environment

🎯 What we’re looking for:
• 5+ years in property/facilities/estates management
• Strong knowledge of H&S and statutory compliance
• Experience managing commercial properties
• Commercial awareness & excellent people skills
• Proactive, hands-on approach
• RICS/IWFM (desirable)
• Full clean driving licence

Inspire Business Centre was delighted to support the Mayor’s charity initiative with a recent donation.

The Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Councillor Amanda Grehan, has selected Action Cancer as her charity partner for the 2025/26 term, with a focus on local breast cancer screening, awareness, and early detection.

Funds raised will help support vital services such as the Big Bus and 3D mammography, making a real difference for women across our community.

We’re excited to share that Inspire Business Centre will be hosting a FREE Workplace Health & Wellbeing Support Programme on 1st April 2026!

This fantastic session will be delivered by NI Chest Heart & Stroke and is open to all local businesses. It’s a great opportunity to gain practical advice, support, and resources to help promote health and wellbeing in your workplace.
