Was Facebook down for you today? Are you seeing any glitches now? (No doubt some BIG updates rolling out!)

Meta uses your activity from other websites and apps to personalize content you see. Want to disable this setting? Here's how:

☑️ From your Facebook personal profile (mobile or desktop), go to Settings and privacy > Settings > Accounts Center
☑️ Tap 'Your information and permissions'
☑️ Tap 'Activity from other businesses'
☑️ Select allow or don't allow. It's up to you.

Recommended: check this setting to make sure it's the way you want it.

What you do online affects your Facebook feed. We already know that Meta uses off-platform activity to show us more personalized ADS, right?

But what's changing, starting in July, is the personalization also applies to ORGANIC feed content on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, *plus* any AI RESPONSES.

Your off-platform activity includes games you play or purchases you make on other websites.

The example Facebook gives is "if you’ve recently purchased a tent online, you might start seeing more Reels about camping." ⛺️ 🤷🏼‍♀️ Hm. Fair enough. That seems innocuous.

💥 If you do choose to turn the setting off, here are a few important things to know:

- Disconnecting takes time: It can take up to 48 hours for the disconnection to fully take effect.
- Ads won't disappear: You will still see the same number of ads, but they will be less personalized and relevant to your web browsing.
- Website log-ins: Turning this off might log you out of third-party apps or websites that you previously logged into using your Facebook account.

🚫 What’s Not Changing:

- Meta is not collecting any *new* data as part of this update.
- This is about using information that businesses already send to Meta to "further improve your experience."
- These control and data-use changes will go into effect in the US and a number of other countries in July with more countries to follow.

Your thoughts? Will you disable this setting? (My own default was allow, and I've switched to not allow for now).

Meta started rolling out Instagram Plus today: a new subscription service at $3.99/mo. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Eh, does anyone else have subscription fatigue?! 🤪

Meta Business Agent is rolling out globally today. It's an AI agent that lets businesses respond to customers 24/7 on WhatsApp, Messenger, and now Instagram. 💬

Setup takes minutes, it speaks customers' local languages, and it can answer FAQs, recommend products, book appointments, qualify leads, and close sales.

✅ Getting started is FREE. Activate your Business Agent here [link in comments].
✅ In the coming months, Meta will roll out paid subscriptions (with options for businesses of every size).
✅ You can also join the waitlist for expanded capabilities [link in comments].

Your Business Agent has agentic capabilities, transitioning from a basic chatbot to an operator that can autonomously:

💬 Answer questions specific to your business
💬 Make product recommendations from a business catalog
💬 Book calendar appointments and qualify incoming leads
💬 Let you decide when a team member steps in to provide support (good!)
💬 Close sales transactions directly in chat threads
💬 Deliver Morning Briefings summarizing overnight customer interactions and trends.

This tool has been tested for two years in select markets like India and Mexico and is now expanding to all businesses across WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram. Over one million businesses are already using Meta Business Agent.

Meta also announced today:

🔍 New ways for people to find your business directly in WhatsApp search.
📈 Meta Business Agent Platform (more enterprise-focused) connects to systems like Shopify and Zendesk for larger operations.

The news was announced at Meta's Conversations 2026 conference in London.

Your thoughts, my friends? Is this a tool you plan to explore? Certainly seems worth it to get started for free... just so long as we have complete control and there's not a bunch of nonsense sent to our clients/followers! 🤪

So Instagram has a brand new feature + brand new standalone app: "Instants." 🙄

📸 Instants, a new way to share photos in the moment with your Close Friends or mutual followers.
📸 Instants disappear after they’re opened by someone and can’t be viewed after 24 hours.
📸 You can access Instants through the Instagram app OR its standalone app that opens directly to the Instants camera.

Unlike Instagram, which is about curated and polished content, Instants is designed for quick, real-life snapshots. With Instants, you capture a photo with Instagram’s in-app camera and aren’t allowed to edit the image. The format doesn’t allow uploads from your camera, and, although you can add text to your “instants,” you can’t modify them any further. Meta said in a blog post that the idea behind this format is to share authentic moments as they’re happening. (from TechCrunch).

Eh, friends, the minute I saw this announcement earlier today on media sites, Meta, Instagram, and Adam Mosseri's reel... my mind was just like,

"Whatever!!!"

Hahaa! 😝😂 Sorry, not sorry.

Like, why?

Well, numerous reasons, no doubt.

1. Continue to attract younger demographics.
2. Compete with Snapchat.
3. Get users to share more raw, unedited content.
4. Cater to the decline in users sharing as much to their profile/grid.
5. Fuel the addiction to keep coming back to the app.
6. Increase time on site/app.
7. Keeping eyeballs glued to the screen = sell more ads.

Anything else you'd add?

And if you're already loving Instants, please enlighten us as to why. Lol. 😆

P.S. Post manually written by me, fingers on the keyboard. 👉🏻⌨️
