The BA Business Management (Year 3) programme offers a fantastic opportunity for students who have completed an HND in Business (or equivalent SCQF Level 8 award) to progress to degree-level study right here in the Scottish Borders.

This achievement reflects Sam’s dedication, resilience, and commitment to supporting children and young people with care and compassion. Throughout the journey, Sam has faced a number of significant personal challenges, yet continued to persevere with determination and professionalism every step of the way.

Alongside this accomplishment, Sam has also stepped into the role of Supported Manager within the setting, a well-deserved milestone and recognition of their hard work, strength, and commitment to the sector.

Borders College recently had the pleasure of hosting over 30 stakeholders at its on-site restaurant, providing an opportunity to thank the local businesses, charities and public sector employers who have supported the success of its students. 👏

The event provided a valuable opportunity to come together and explore exciting possibilities for future collaboration and partnerships. Guests discussed how the College can support their priorities over the coming years to drive local growth and create further opportunities for students and apprentices. ✨

Guests enjoyed a four-course dinner expertly prepared and served by the talented catering and hospitality students. The evening showcased not only the exceptional skills being developed at the College, but also the professionalism and pride the students bring to their craft. 👩‍🍳

Borders College reinforced its commitment to regional skills development as Principal Pete Smith recently signed the IRES 2027+ Pledge. ✍️ ✅

The pledge supports the next phase of the Integrated Regional Employability and Skills (IRES) programme, an ambitious, evidence-led initiative developed in collaboration with more than 180 partners.
