🎒 Pro Tip Tuesday: An end-of-term reset
As the school year draws to a close, now is a great opportunity to do a little decluttering and organising before the summer holidays begin.
A few ideas:
📚 Jotters, worksheets and artwork
Keep the treasures, recycle what you can, and consider taking photos of larger pieces before letting them go.
✏️ Stationery
Sort through pens, pencils and supplies. Recycle what you can't use and donate good-quality surplus items where possible.
🎒 School bags
Donate bags that are still in good condition, or recycle them if they've reached the end of their useful life.
👕 Uniform
Store items for younger siblings. The rest can often be donated to school uniform sales, charities or uniform banks if they're still wearable.
👞 School shoes
Donate good-quality pairs or take them to Schuh, who offer £5 off a new pair when you recycle an old one.
📱 Social media
If your child is moving on to a new school, consider leaving parent groups/chats and unfollowing pages that are no longer relevant.
📧 Email
Bulk-delete old newsletters and school bulletins to reduce digital clutter.
📅 Calendar
Download next year's school calendar and add key dates to your diary now. Future you will be grateful!
✨ A little end-of-term reset can make the transition into the holidays feel calmer and help you start the new school year feeling organised and prepared.
