Feel Good Friday - what a week it’s been!

Firstly, we’re delighted to have officially launched our Miles for Smiles campaign. This August, members of the Lomond and Cake team will be taking on the challenge of walking the West Highland Way as we aim to raise £20,000 for Beatson Cancer Charity and Kindness Homeless Street Team 💕.

Both charities make a real difference to people across Scotland, providing vital support to individuals and families when they need it most. On Tuesday, our Creative Team were back in action alongside Alastair Ferrier and the Cake Team for another exciting photoshoot. We spent the day capturing content for some upcoming projects and product launches, and we can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on with you soon.

On Wednesday, we welcomed the Charlotte from Callebaut Chocolate for a chocolate training session. The team learned more about the products, their applications and the latest trends in chocolate, making it a valuable session for everyone involved. Of course, there were plenty of samples too! A big thank you to Charlotte Callebaut Chocolate for taking the time to visit us.

On Thursday, we were joined by Mackie's of Scotland, who delivered training for our Telesales team. Alongside sharing their product knowledge and insights, they also brought some fun games and plenty of delicious samples for the team to enjoy. Thank you to Mackie’s for a fantastic session and for helping our team continue to build their knowledge and expertise.

It’s been a busy week across the business, and we’re looking forward to sharing even more exciting updates with you over the coming weeks.

Last Saturday, members of our Lomond team joined our friends at .coop for a fantastic Scotland vs Brazil friendly football match, celebrating Scotland’s qualification for the World Cup. ⚽🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Congratulations to Team Scotland, who secured the victory on the day! 🏆 Perhaps that’s a sign of things to come when the real tournament kicks off... 😏

A special congrats to Ryan, William, Stephen, and Andrew, who represented Lomond on the pitch and gave it their all throughout the match!

INTRODUCING MILES FOR SMILES!

96 miles. 5 days. 8 walkers. £20,000 target.

This August, a team of 8 from Lomond Wholesale and Cake will be taking on one of Scotland's most iconic challenges – walking the entire West Highland Way in just 5 days.
Why? Because we want to make a difference.

Through our Miles for Smiles campaign, we're aiming to raise £20,000 for two incredible local charities, The Beatson Cancer Charity and Kindness Glasgow. Both organisations are close to the hearts of many of our colleagues and provide vital support to people across our communities every day.

From 23rd to 27th August, we'll tackle nearly 100 miles of rugged Scottish terrain, steep climbs, sore feet, blisters and whatever weather Scotland decides to throw our way. It won't be easy, but every step will be taken with a purpose.

It’s Feel Good Friday at Lomond!

We couldn’t let World Doughnut Day pass without celebrating... today, there was ’s all round for our colleagues across the business to celebrate! After a really busy week this was a great opportunity for everyone to take a well-earned break and enjoy a sweet treat 🍩

As we head into the weekend, excitement is also building around the 2026 World Cup. We’ve been getting into the tournament spirit across our sites today, with plenty of activity planned over the coming weeks.

Things kick off this weekend with a football match, and we’ll be sharing more from our World Cup activities next week, so keep an eye on our page to see what we’ve been up to...

A special mention also goes to our Logistics Manager, Stephen, who has gone above and beyond this week. Whether supporting colleagues, solving problems or helping wherever needed, Stephen’s commitment and positive attitude have made a real difference. Thank you for all your hard work - it’s very much appreciated.

Finally, we’re delighted to welcome Kristina and Rayan to the Team - we wish them every success in their new roles!

It’s Feel Good Friday and it’s been another busy week across the business.

On Wednesday the and Lomond team hosted a special demonstration masterclass at .
Award-winning Executive Pastry Chef, Michael Kwan , led the afternoon tea-focused demonstration, showcasing his incredible skill & creativity, using a selection of chocolate blends. Michael shared his expert hints, tips and inspiration with our guests who also enjoyed a tasting session of the incredible pastries.
Our sincere thanks to both Michael, and the rest of the team for such a fantastic masterclass!

On Thursday we welcomed Angela Anderson from , who spent some time supporting the telesales team and kindly brought along some much-needed refreshments to help us stay cool during the warm weather - thank you Angela!

We’d also like to say a huge congratulations to our colleague Sam who recently welcomed a baby boy - we wish you the very best in the new exciting chapter!
