Glasgow City Council's Tech Event and Meetup Subsidy is open for applications, with grants of £1,000 to £5,000 available for technology-focused events and programmes delivered across the city.

From community meetups and workshops to conferences, hackathons and investor events, we're looking to support activity that creates new connections, shares knowledge and helps strengthen Glasgow's tech ecosystem.

Spotlight: Collective Communities CIC 🌍

We're delighted to shine a spotlight on one of our 2026/27 Social Innovation Challenge Fund delivery partners, Collective Communities CIC.

Through the Rolling Circle programme, up to 45 underrepresented early-stage entrepreneurs will receive practical, evidence-led support to help develop their ideas and build sustainable businesses.

Participants will take part in a 12-week programme covering business planning, funding, marketing, ecosystem navigation and peer learning, with continued access to workspace, cross-cohort networks and ongoing support for up to 10 months.

By creating inclusive opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs, Rolling Circle is helping to strengthen local enterprise, build confidence and foster lasting community connections.

Spotlight: Community Renewal Trust 🌍

We're delighted to re-introduce Community Renewal Trust, one of our 2026/27 Social Innovation Challenge Fund delivery partners.

Through the Roma Start Ups – Inclusive Enterprise Pathways programme, Community Renewal Trust will provide culturally tailored enterprise support for Roma adults, women and young people in Govanhill, helping more people take the first steps towards starting and growing their own businesses.

Participants will benefit from one-to-one mentoring, business training, financial literacy support and guidance on accessing funding opportunities, with multilingual, culturally competent support designed to break down barriers to entrepreneurship.

By creating trusted pathways into Glasgow's wider business support ecosystem, the programme will help ensure more aspiring entrepreneurs can access the advice, resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
