🍦 Tony’s Treat Day 2026! 🎉

What a cracking day for our annual Tony’s Treat Day! Sunshine, smiles and around 150 Mr Whippy ice creams enjoyed by our amazing teams across all the Leeway’s and Kalex sites. Safe to say the ice cream van was kept very busy! 🍦☀️

This year was extra special as we celebrated Tony’s 70th birthday! 🥳 Although Tony wasn’t able to join us in person, he certainly didn’t miss out… his seaside photo board travelled the rounds instead, popping up at every site for plenty of laughs, photos and birthday wishes. We think he may have covered more miles than the ice cream van! 😄

A huge thank you to every member of the Leeway’s and Kalex team. Your hard work, dedication and team spirit are what make this company such a great place to be. Days like today are just our little way of saying thank you.

And finally… Happy 70th Birthday, Tony! We hope you’ve had a fantastic day and know just how much you’re appreciated by everyone. Here’s to another wonderful year… and, of course, plenty more Tony’s Treat Days! 🎂🎈🍦❤️

Big congratulations to Ady on his promotion to Toolroom Manager!
From starting out as a CNC Operator, progressing to Toolroom Supervisor, and now stepping into the role of Toolroom Manager, Ady's journey is a great example of what can be achieved through hard work, commitment, and a positive attitude.
Over the years, he's played a key part in driving improvements across the department and helping the Toolroom develop as it continues to grow. This promotion is thoroughly deserved, and we're excited to see what comes next.

Today we have said a sad farewell to our dear friend and work colleague, Romas.

Over 10 years ago, Romas joined Leeway’s as an agency worker in the Roll Changer role. It soon became clear that he was someone special. His commitment, willingness to learn and incredible work ethic quickly earned him a permanent place in the Leeway’s family.

Over the years, Romas worked his way through the Tool Room, continually developing his skills, before achieving the well deserved position of CNC Programmer. We have been so proud to watch his journey and everything he has accomplished.

While today is a sad day for us, it is also the beginning of an exciting new adventure for Romas, his wife Sandra and their family, as they return home to Lithuania to begin a new chapter together. Although we will miss him terribly, we couldn’t be happier for them as they follow their dreams.

Romas, thank you for your loyalty, your hard work, your friendship and, most of all, for simply being you. You have left your mark on Leeway’s, and you will always be part of our story.

From everyone at Leeway’s, we wish you and your family nothing but health, happiness and every success for the future.

I’m incredibly proud to share that we have successfully achieved our BRCGS audit with zero non-conformances. When I took over this role, I set myself a personal goal to one day achieve this milestone, and thanks to the dedication, commitment, and hard work of every member of the team, that goal has now become a reality. ☀️ What a beautiful spell of weather we’re enjoying!

Now that the grass verges have been cut, it’s such a shame to see just how much litter has been revealed. Sadly, it can only have been discarded from passing cars or fallen from vans.

Before the temperatures soared this morning, our team walked both sides of the verges, collecting bag after bag of rubbish to help keep our countryside looking its very best.

A huge thank you to Leon and Gary for giving up their time and working so hard. Your efforts make a real difference, and we’re incredibly grateful. 💚

Please remember… if you take it with you, take it home with you too. Together, we can all help keep our beautiful countryside clean and something we can all be proud of. 🌿♻️

🎉 40 Years of Loyal Service – Thank You, Nick! 🎉

This week we are incredibly proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone as Nick Lawrence marks 40 years of loyal service with Leeway’s Joinery Ltd.

Nick joined Leeway’s in July 1986 as a young 23 year old pallet and case maker, based at our head office in Churcham. In January 1990, he moved with the company to our purpose built site on Newtown Road, Cinderford where he became our Factory Floor Supervisor, leading by example and earning the respect of colleagues throughout the business.

In October 2015, Nick was promoted to Production Manager, a role he continues to carry out with dedication and genuine passion. His commitment, knowledge and down to earth work ethic have helped shape Leeway’s Joinery into the company it is today.

Nick, thank you for your incredible loyalty, hard work and everything you have given to Leeway’s over the past four decades. We are truly grateful and proud to have you as part of the Leeway’s family.

Congratulations on this outstanding achievement, and here’s to many more successful years ahead! 👏🎉
