The before and after (or rather after and before).

Wonderful to get a dry day and a chance to really thin out and tidy up.

Id been worried about all the rain during flowering (based on others reporting early appearances of stylus). But relieved to see hardly any open flowers yet, so may have dodged a bullet with the wet weather.

Treated to an aerial display by a hunting kestrel (beyond my photography skills to capture well)

And rounded off with a chimichurri rump steak BBQ

Tough day 😉

Enjoying a cold beer or two in the garden after a busy and surprisingly sunny market today.

These new creations from are a wonderful cross between a New England IPA and a Home Counties Pale Ale. Citrusy and tropical fruit hops but with a real texture. Delicious.

Wonderful to call in this afternoon and talk all things English, Organic and Natural wine with at their new tasting room.

Three really fantastic 2025 wines with, what sounds like, many more plans for the future.

I really do recommend stopping by - before they sell out of that PetNat!

And a final reminder we're at GM Artisan Market in the morning!

Another incredibly tough day of research at as we continued a tour of the South West ☀️🍾

Tom and the team could not have been more helpful, hospitable and humble 😊

The visiting group had many favourites individually - their Constantine Chardonnay, the Harlyn blend and the cider all showed strongly. However the best wine of the day was eventually named the Blanc de Blanc (on the beach ⛱️)

I am going to be at on Monday so if you are in the trade and coming along, please do come over to the Pavilion tasting area and say hi.

I'll be pouring wines behind the Thames and Chiltern regional table, where we'll have a small range of representatives from our area - including Vyn Dene’s new Coral Rosé

Kudos to and for pulling our contribution to this huge event together!

Quick visit to the vines today - fortunately not too much frost damage from the cold nights recently.

Sadly rain on the horizon and blustery winds cut short too much work on tending to them!

Really enjoyed receiving this tasting note from a highly experienced buyer. Ginger was a new note to us, but having been back to the wine since (well, we had to, didn't we 🍾), then yes - we wholeheartedly agree!

Our Bubbling Blanc 2024. Leesy, floral, with a thread of ginger we're now never going to un-taste. The kind of wine that keeps developing new dimensions.
