THE FACE OF FRUSTRATION……

Being bounced backwards and forwards between providers of different layers of a system.

You need to speak to “x” they told us to alter “y”.

No one knows WHY an instruction was given. They are apparently unable to speak directly to one another.

AND IN THE MEANTIME - the poor customer is without an internet connection which also means NO PHONES!

Fortunately I’m the one with the frustration of being bounced around so my customer can get on with their day job.

Having set up their VoIP system they also have access to an alternative option of using an App over 5G to make & receive calls.

Which just leaves me tearing my hair out trying to find other humans to talk to who can understand and take action to resolve things.

It’s all part of the job but that’s why customers use Genius Technology as their broker to provide and support their telcoms needs. We’re here to sort out such problems and ensure you stay connected.

It’s not just a good idea -

RAIN STOPPED PLAY….

But only for a while, but can you see the join?

Openreach attended this morning and laid the fibre underground to terminate at the house where we advised.

A remote rural location set well back from the road. BT had originally said they couldn’t provide a fibre service. We identified how it could be done!

Meanwhile the team are connecting the internal network and external CCTV system.

TIME TO RESET!! WHATS YOUR VOTE?

We’re having a bit of a refresh to reflect our new structure and service offering.

We still do:
PHONES,
BROADBAND by any means, and
GUEST WIFI

but we’re doing more:
DATA NETWORKING,
CCTV and
COMMUNITY BROADBAND PROJECTS.

Hence we’re changing our name from Genius Technology Solutions to
Genius Networks and restyling our logo.

Incident NOW RESOLVED.

Notification: VODAFONE Nationwide Broadband Connectivity Issues.

We are currently experiencing a nationwide broadband connectivity issue due to an incident involving our supplier, Vodafone.

Impact:
Broadband services are being disrupted across multiple regions.

Timeline:
Initial reports began surfacing shortly before 3:00 PM today.

Current Status:
We are actively engaged with Vodafone and awaiting further updates. Resolution plans and additional details will be shared as soon as they become available.
We appreciate your patience and will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.

We’ve moved!

Our new registered office is now at Kirton Business Park, Boston after closing our Peterborough & Horncastle offices.

We’re still based in Grimsby and operate across the UK with a focus on the East Midlands, Yorkshire & Humber.

Here I’m being welcomed to the site by our new accountant, David Kime of RosskillKime Accountants.

Looking forward to an afternoon of networking in Boston now.

Do you know who you reach if you dial 159?

Apparently you get connected to your bank’s fraud department a bit like choosing the emergency service you need on 999.

I’ve only just learnt that but it will save so much hassle where legitimate transactions are held due to an algorithm thinking they’re suspicious.

No more searching for the right contact number.

No more arguing with a chat bot when all you want to do is talk to someone,

Just dial 159 and say the name of your bank - how easy is that?

It works for ANY BANK.
