So much has changed since we first opened our smart offices in 1986; not least our relocation from Victoria to Fulham and finally our current home in Haywards Heath. However, our core values have always remained the same: to use technology as a tool to support our excellent customer service. Some of you will remember those early days, and it’s easy to forget that we’re a creative consultancy at h

eart; we only started offering qualifications in an innovative way when we spotted a market need for more flexible learning. Many candidates have said that working with us has validated their skills and knowledge and the icing on the cake is the professional qualification they gained via Cullen Scholefield. We’re in a unique position to offer consultancy to cross sector clients ranging from micro businesses to global blue chip organisations. This gives us valuable insights and contacts that are used to excellent effect for all. Our candidates become our friends and very often recommend us to their colleagues. We’ve been privileged to support people at the start of their careers and now feel like proud parents to see them operating at some very senior levels: indeed, we were a bit startled recently to be told that Cullen Scholefield had qualified a candidate’s mother! Wave 'Goodbye!' and say 'Hello!'

We are sad to announce the departure of the amazing Amanda Lane, our Centre Administrator. Amanda led our candidate administration team from August 2017 till the end of December 2025 with flair and dedication.

While now focusing on her voluntary work, she has kindly agreed to be on standby till the end of March 2026. We know many candidates will miss her!

But...we are pleased to announce that Maggie Mowle has been appointed as our Centre Manager. Maggie joined us in October 2025 with a brief to evaluate our existing practices with the Awarding Bodies we work with – the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).

Change always provides organisations with an opportunity to review roles and responsibilities. We welcome this and Maggie’s past experience supporting learners to gain professional qualifications in International Trade and Customs Compliance, guiding individuals and corporate clients through modular online qualifications from first enquiry to graduation.

We already value her calm, organised approach and her ability to bring clarity and structure to the changes we are working on. Maggie is a firm believer in lifelong learning and is passionate about supporting others on their own development journeys - do give her a warm welcome if you find yourself chatting!

Ali has been part of Scholefield for three years, supporting our Centre Administrator, Amanda. She handles everything from enrolment and welcome letters to those helpful reminders about qualification timelines — because time really does fly when you’re having fun!

She also helps manage our six busy moderation windows each year, making sure everything runs like clockwork.

As a self-employed Virtual Assistant, Ali loves the flexibility and variety her work brings — and enjoys spending her days working from home with her loyal sidekick, Ernie the dog! 🐾

Lucy joined Scholefield: The People Consultancy in January after 20 years in big corporate businesses — and has loved discovering everything that makes Scholefield so special. Every day brings something new, from helping candidates book their first call to making sure every detail runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Outside of work, Lucy enjoys long walks with her crazy lurcher Pablo 🐾, catching up with friends in the sunshine ☀️, or getting cosy by the fire with a good book 🔥. She’s also a big fan of 90s indie music — and seeing Pulp live this year was a dream come true! 🎶
