Expressions of interest for the Horsham District Christmas Magic Displays Competition close tomorrow, Friday 6th November! 🎄

To enter, all you need to do is express your interest via the link in the comments, then submit a photo of your festive display to us before the public vote opens in December.

All entrants will benefit from promotion throughout December, with the winners receiving additional media coverage and a framed certificate.

Awards for winning displays include:

We were delighted to welcome over 50 business leaders and decision-makers to our second Horsham District Business Leaders Forum this October!

Hosted at the beautiful Leonardslee W**e Estate in Mannings Heath, the event included inspiring insights from keynote speaker Jo Fairley, co-founder of Green & Black’s Chocolate, and thought-provoking discussions during the event’s panel sessions

Facilitated by MC Tim Fifield, the panels featured expert speakers from London Gatwick Airport, Pentagon Plastics, Architectural Plants, Tottington Manor Hotel, Chef’s Farm and Eshcon Ltd.

Key focusses of the forum were the importance of creating resilient supply chains, sustainability as a growth strategy, and how investing in people - staff, suppliers and customers - lies at the heart of successful business.

There was also ample opportunity for networking amongst attendees to facilitate local collaboration.

The forums are organised by Horsham District Council's Enterprising Horsham team, in association with Gatwick Diamond Business.

Could your festive window or display be our Public’s Choice Off-High-Street Display Winner 2026? 🎄

As part of the Horsham District Christmas Magic Displays Competition, we're expanding our Off-High-Street Award for 2026, supported by Experience Sussex .

Alongside awards recognising our fantastic high street businesses and charities, this category celebrates the important contribution made by businesses located outside traditional high street settings.

Whether you’re a hotel, vineyard, visitor attraction or other destination venue with a festive display visible to customers, we'd love to hear from you.

Last year’s winner, Tottington Manor, impressed the public with its display and helped showcase the fantastic festive spirit found across Horsham District.

Could your high-street charity shop be our Public’s Choice Charity Display Winner 2026? 🎄

The Horsham District Christmas Magic Displays Competition includes an award recognising our fantastic high street charities who put together festive displays for Christmas.

Last year, the winner was The Mary How Trust in Pulborough, who put together a beautiful Christmas market stall window display, featuring second hand items from their charity shop. 🎁

A visit by Horsham District Council to Raylands Country Park has shone a spotlight on how this long-established family business is combining a peaceful holiday home community with an impressive commitment to biodiversity, creating a distinctive destination that supports the local visitor economy while helping wildlife thrive.

Members of the Council's Enterprising Horsham team and the Cabinet Member for Climate Action and Nature Recovery, Cllr Colette Blackburn, recently visited Raylands Country Park in Southwater to learn more about the business, its contribution to the District's visitor economy, and the environmental initiatives that are helping set it apart within the holiday park sector.

Horsham District Council worked with local market operator Coden Events to offer Swan Walk businesses free market pitches and equipment hire, during the shopping centre's temporary closure, enabling them to continue trading in the heart of Horsham town.

With Swan Walk Horsham now fully reopened, pitches are again available for local businesses looking to showcase their products and services through Horsham’s popular West Street Entrepreneurs Markets
