๐Ÿšœ BLACK ISLE SHOW 2026 โ€“ TRAVEL ADVISORY

With another fantastic Belladrum behind us, attention now turns to one of the Highlandsโ€™ most iconic events โ€“ the Black Isle Show.

Taking place on Thursday 6th August, thousands of visitors are expected to travel to Muir of Ord, and temporary traffic management will be in place to help keep everyone moving safely.

Whether youโ€™re heading to the show or simply travelling through the area, hereโ€™s what you need to know:

๐Ÿšง The B9169 (Industrial Estate Road) will be prioritised for event traffic, with access maintained for local businesses.

๐Ÿšง Temporary road closures and reduced speed limits will be in operation around the showground to support the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians.

๐Ÿšง Please follow the official event signage and directions from traffic management operatives rather than relying solely on your sat nav.

๐Ÿšง If youโ€™re not attending the show, consider allowing a little extra journey time or choosing an alternative route during the busiest arrival and departure periods.

The Black Isle Show is always a highlight of the Highland calendar, bringing together the very best of Scottish agriculture, livestock, equestrian events, rural businesses and family entertainment.

At Alba Traffic Management, weโ€™re proud to support events that bring our communities together by helping keep Scotlandโ€™s roads safe and traffic flowing.

Have a fantastic day if youโ€™re heading along, and safe travels to everyone on the road.

๐Ÿšง Belladrum Weekend is Here! ๐ŸŽถ

As thousands of festival-goers make their way to Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, temporary traffic management measures remain in place around Kiltarlity, Belladrum and Beauly to help keep traffic moving safely.

If you're travelling in the area this weekend, please remember:

๐Ÿš— Temporary 20mph and 30mph speed limits are in operation.
๐Ÿšง The U2346 Bog Road remains closed.
โžก๏ธ Temporary one-way systems are in place on key routes, including the U2108 Belladrum Road, with additional one-way systems introduced if required to manage traffic flows.
๐Ÿšซ A No Right Turn restriction remains in place at Megstone Junction for campervans, caravans and vehicles towing trailers.

Please help everyone get to and from the festival safely by:

โœ… Allowing extra time for your journey.
โœ… Following temporary traffic management signs and directions.
โœ… Using signed diversion routes where applicable.
โœ… Considering alternative routes during peak arrival and departure times.

Our traffic management teams will be working throughout the weekend alongside event organisers and emergency services to help keep everyone moving safely.

Whether you're heading to Belladrum or simply travelling through the area, have a safe journey and enjoy the weekend! ๐ŸŽช๐Ÿšฆ

๐Ÿšฆ TRAFFIC LIGHT MYTH BUSTER ๐Ÿšฆ

โŒ Myth: Flash your headlights and the temporary traffic lights will change.

โœ… Fact: They wonโ€™t.

Many of the temporary traffic lights we use are fitted with sensors that detect approaching vehicles. Once a vehicle is detected, the traffic lights begin their programmed sequence, allowing traffic to pass safely through the works before changing to the opposite direction.

Flashing your headlights wonโ€™t make them change any quicker.

Theyโ€™re designed to keep traffic moving safely while protecting both road users and the workforce.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Have you ever heard this myth, or even tried it yourself?
