😍 Our Colleague Jill has just returned back from her amazing city break trip to Budapest, Hungary - This is what she got up to
✈️ I recently enjoyed a fantastic 4-night stay in the stunning city of Budapest, travelling from Birmingham with Jet2holidays. From smooth flights to easy transfers, the whole journey was seamless, making it an ideal short-haul getaway to recommend.
🏰 Budapest offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and beautiful scenery. Walking along the River Danube was a real highlight, especially at sunset when the city lights begin to reflect on the water. Visiting the iconic Hungarian Parliament Building, St Stephen’s Basilica, and Buda Castle gave a real insight into the city’s rich history, with incredible views from every angle. The Shoes on the Danube Bank was also a particularly moving experience and an important place to visit.
🛍️ For shopping and local culture, the Central Market Hall and Váci Street were great spots to explore, offering everything from traditional Hungarian treats to cafes and boutique shops.
🌊 The standout experience of the trip was a Danube dinner cruise. Sailing past Budapest’s illuminated landmarks while enjoying a delicious meal, live music, and traditional performances made for a truly unforgettable evening.
❤️ Overall, Budapest is a brilliant city break destination with so much to offer. Combined with the ease and convenience of travelling with Jet2holidays from Birmingham, it’s a destination I would confidently recommend to customers looking for great value and memorable experiences.
