Lot 593 – George Cross to James Pollitt
Awarded for outstanding bravery during the South Kirkby Colliery Disaster of August 1935, where Pollitt served as Captain of the Third Rescue Team.

Lot 594- Royal Marines Commando Falklands MM group, comprising MM, GSM with Northern Ireland clasp, South Atlantic Medal and UN with Cyprus clasp.

Both carry compelling stories of bravery and sacrifice and are highlights of tomorrow’s auction.

We’re seeking someone with a strong knowledge and passion for collectable toys, particularly:
• Model railways & toy trains
• Die-cast models (Corgi, Dinky, etc.)
• Vintage & modern toy collectibles

The role will involve cataloguing items for auction, including researching, describing, and valuing a wide range of toys and models.

What we’re looking for:
• Good knowledge of collectable toys and brands
• Strong attention to detail
• Confident written descriptions
• Previous auction or cataloguing experience is a bonus (but not essential)

This is a great opportunity to work with a well-established auction house and handle some fantastic items.
