We are delighted to announce Richmond İstanbul as an Official Partner of the Creative Women Platform Inaugural Assembly in Istanbul, Türkiye, taking place on 13 October 2026.

We are delighted to welcome Buket Önyörü, archaeologist, painter, author, Rose Culture Researcher and Brand Director at Rosever, as a Speaker at the Creative Women Platform Inaugural Assembly in Istanbul, Türkiye, taking place on 13 October 2026.

Working at the intersection of cultural heritage, art and brand management, Buket brings a distinctive multidisciplinary perspective shaped by archaeology, creative practice, writing and communication.

A graduate of Hacettepe University’s Department of Archaeology, she later completed a master’s degree in Museum Education at Ankara University. Her professional journey includes many years at the Museum of Natural History of MTA, alongside managerial roles in media and public relations.

Through her artistic practice, Buket explores nature, archaeological memory and the traces left by civilisations, bringing history into dialogue with contemporary creative expression.

She is also the author of ROSE: The Archaeology of Beauty — Civilizations, Scent and Meaning, which explores the cultural significance of the rose throughout history, its symbolism across civilisations and its enduring relationship with beauty and ritual.

As Brand Director at Rosever, Buket brings her cultural and creative expertise into brand strategy and communication, exploring how heritage, storytelling and artistic thinking can create deeper meaning for contemporary brands.

Her work offers a compelling perspective on the relationship between culture, creativity and modern business, showing how historical knowledge can continue to inspire innovation and new ways of thinking.

We are delighted to welcome Aslıhan Karalar as a Speaker at the Creative Women Platform Inaugural Assembly in Istanbul, Türkiye, taking place on 13 October 2026.

A talented Turkish actress with an increasingly international career, Aslıhan has built her journey in the creative industries through discipline, continuous learning and a deep commitment to acting and cinema.

In 2017, she was crowned Best Model of the World in Paris, representing Türkiye on the global stage. Rather than remaining within fashion, the experience encouraged her to focus more deeply on her true passion: acting.

She went on to pursue professional acting and film education in London and the United States, combining practical experience with international training and a broader understanding of the cinematic arts.

Her career has since developed across Turkish television and cinema, with roles in productions including Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu, Kuruluş Osman, Şahin Tepesi, Doğu, Daha İyi Bir Yarın, Şafak Vakti, Aynasız Haluk and Adanış: Kutsal Kavga. She is currently appearing in Sevdan Bir Ateş on Show TV.

Aslıhan is also stepping onto the international cinema stage with UK to UK, a Bollywood feature film in which she takes the leading role. Filmed across London and India, the production brings together different cultures and creative perspectives and marks a new chapter in her international career.

Her preparation for demanding screen roles has included horse riding, archery, sword work and stage combat, reflecting the discipline and versatility she brings to her craft.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Fatma has built extensive leadership experience across the technology sector, combining strategic vision, business development and international market expertise.

A graduate of Middle East Technical University, where she studied Business Administration, Fatma began her career in the technology industry and went on to hold senior leadership positions at some of the world’s most influential global companies.

Between 2000 and 2002, she served in a senior management role at Compaq Türkiye before joining Hewlett-Packard, where she continued her career from 2002 to 2008. In 2009, she moved to GE Healthcare and later joined Oracle, where she served as Country Director for Applications until 2012.

That same year, Fatma joined Apple Türkiye, taking on responsibility for the company’s operations in the market and contributing to its growth and development in one of the world’s most dynamic technology landscapes.

Her career reflects more than corporate leadership. It is a story of adaptability, innovation and the ability to lead through major periods of technological transformation, while building teams, markets and long-term value.

Creative Women Platform is honoured to have established the Creative Women Forum in Riyadh in 2024, under the Patronage of HRH Princess Noura bint Saud bin Naif Al Saud. Since then, we have continued to build meaningful bridges between Saudi Arabia and the world, bringing women leaders, creatives, innovators and changemakers together across borders.

A graduate of the University of Surrey in the UK, where she studied Spanish Business Administration, Pelin began her career at Deutsche Bank before moving to TAV Airports Holding and later joining Akfen Holding.

Today, she holds senior board positions across the Akfen Group and beyond, including Akfen Holding, Akfen Construction, Akfen Renewable Energy, Mersin International Port, Istanbul Sea Buses and Travelex. She also serves as Vice Chair of Akfen REIT and Chair of Terminal Kadıköy under Akfen Tourism.

Alongside her corporate leadership, Pelin is deeply engaged in education, social impact and international collaboration. She plays an active role in TİKAV, the Turkish Human Resources Education and Health Foundation, and serves as Chair of the National Committee of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Türkiye.

She is also Chair of the Advisory Board of the Contemporary Turkish Studies Programme at the London School of Economics. Her wider involvement includes DEİK, TÜSİAD, TİKAD, TURMEPA, Women on Boards Association Turkey, the Tourism Investors Association of Turkey and the American Turkish Society.

With more than 30 years of experience across leading global financial institutions, Serra has built an international career spanning corporate banking, cross-border financial services, multinational client coverage and executive leadership.

During more than two decades with Citi, she has held senior leadership positions across Türkiye, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. From 2009 to 2019, Serra served as CEO of Citi Turkey, leading the bank’s operations and strategic development while representing Citi within Türkiye’s banking and business community.

Since relocating to London in 2020, she has continued in senior regional leadership roles within Citi’s Global Network Banking organisation, overseeing multinational corporate relationships, regional strategy and complex international banking requirements across Europe and EMEA.

Her career began with Manufacturers Hanover and Chemical Bank, followed by Koçbank before joining Citi in 2000.

Beyond her executive career, Serra has contributed extensively to the financial and business community. Her leadership roles have included the Association of Foreign Banks in London, TÜSİAD, the Banks Association of Turkey and the American Business Forum in Turkey. A graduate of Boğaziçi University in Business Administration, Serra brings extensive experience in international finance, leadership and building connections across markets and institutions.
