Congratulations to James Schouten on tonight’s opening of Das Rheingold at Grange Park Opera, where he sings Froh in Wagner’s epic Ring cycle.
James also joins the cast of Don Carlo later this season as Count Lerma, marking two exciting appearances in this year’s festival.
It’s wonderful to see his artistry recognised on one of the UK’s leading opera stages. Wishing him and all his colleagues a fantastic opening night.

👏👏👏 • Saturday night, Celestial Threads opened the Southbank Series, and it didn’t hold back.

A program that stretched across generations and galaxies, weaving Imogen Holst’s sharp, articulate writing with the sheer scale and drama of The Planets.

Then came Djinn, restless, unpredictable, and electric. Mathew Levy stepped forward and completely shifted the atmosphere.

One of those nights where the room felt locked in.

Next one? You’ll want to be there.
