✅ UKAS Accredited Sound Testing – Successful Holiday Let Conversion, North Cornwall

A great result achieved recently on these beautifully converted holiday let barns in North Cornwall.

We completed UKAS accredited airborne sound insulation testing, with the development performing well against the required standards. Always good to see careful detailing and quality construction pay off—particularly on rural barn conversions where retaining character can make acoustic compliance more challenging.

These tests provide the assurance needed for Building Control sign-off, while helping ensure future guests can enjoy a quiet, comfortable stay.

From homes to schools — our team has been out testing!

It’s been a full-on week for our UKAS‑accredited sound insulation testers working across a range of projects.

🔊 Residential Conversions – Approved Document E
We've helped developers, housing associations and homeowners ensure their new-build and residential conversion projects meet the acoustic requirements of Approved Document E.

That meant comprehensive airborne and impact sound insulation tests on separating walls and floors, helping projects get one step closer to sign‑off and completion.

🏫 School Building – BB93 Acoustic Testing
We also wrapped up a major round of testing on a new school building under BB93 guidance.

This included:
✔️ Ambient noise level checks
✔️ Reverberation time testing
✔️ Classroom and other spaces acoustic performance
✔️ Ensuring the learning environment meets the high standards needed for teaching and concentration
