Today marks World Environment Day – an opportunity to reflect on our shared responsibility to protect our environment.

This year’s theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future,” highlights the vital role nature plays in tackling climate change and safeguarding future generations. At Regular Cleaning, sustainability is woven into everything we do, and we’re guided by our Better Places pillars, including 'Protecting Our World'.

From our Green Apple Award recognition to our partnership with the Made Blue Foundation (where we support access to clean drinking water for communities across Africa and Asia), we help our clients deliver measurable social value too.

Across our client buildings, we continue to innovate through plastic-free cleaning solutions such as SoluPak- Sustainable Manufacturing, made from natural, plant-based ingredients, alongside smart technology that reduces water and energy consumption.

Backed by our Planet Mark commitment to Net Zero by 2040, we remain focused on delivering transparent, meaningful progress, because the choices we make today will shape tomorrow. Let’s continue to 'Create Better Places' together and make a positive difference to our environment.

A huge congratulations to our Social Impact Coordinator, Tyrone Roach, for receiving a St Mungo's Volunteer Award👏

Now in their 11th year, the annual St Mungo's Volunteer Awards recognise individuals who go above and beyond to make a difference. Presented during Volunteers’ Week on 2nd June at Table Café in Southwark, the event—held in partnership with the Marsh Charitable Trust—brought together volunteers and supporters to celebrate the incredible work being done to reduce homelessness and raise awareness across London.

An inspiring speech from Dr Emma Haddad, Chief Executive of St Mungo’s, highlighted the lasting impact volunteers have in supporting people experiencing homelessness, and what we can all do to help. We are incredibly proud of Tyrone, and equally proud of our long-standing partnership with St Mungo’s, whose vital work supports over 10,000 people each year in rebuilding their lives.

A very well-deserved achievement. Congratulations Tyrone, and all the other fantastic winners!

Last week, we were proud to help host a Prostate Cancer awareness pop-up in collaboration with MAPP. Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, we raised an incredible £515 for Prostate Cancer UK👏

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with building visitors, raise awareness, and have open conversations about the importance of early detection. With 1 in 8 men diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, initiatives like this play a vital role in encouraging people to get checked.

A huge thank you to Patrick Williams, Prostate Cancer UK Volunteer – we always value the opportunity to collaborate with you, and your real stories are both motivational and impactful. Thank you also to MAPP for partnering with us and helping bring this meaningful initiative to life.

Our people are the backbone of our business, and we’re proud to have launched 'The Regular Cleaning Menopause Edit', a monthly, drop-in coffee morning designed to give colleagues a safe, supportive space to talk openly, share experiences and ask questions. We’re proud to say the first session was a huge success!

Around 13 million people in the UK are peri-menopausal or menopausal. Symptoms such as hot flushes, insomnia and brain fog can have a real impact, with around one in three women saying menopause affects their working life.

The Menopause Edit is about normalising conversations that are often overlooked, and ensuring work feels like a place where people are understood, valued and supported. This initiative builds on our ongoing commitment to colleague wellbeing, alongside the introduction of Menopause, Mental Health and Cancer Support Ambassadors earlier this year. Together, these initiatives reflect our focus on supporting our people in practical and meaningful ways.

Putting People First is central to who we are at Regular Cleaning, and The Menopause Edit is one way we’re turning that commitment into real action.

Talking about mental health at work matters. This , we’re highlighting the importance of talking, sharing and taking real action.

In the UK, 1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem each year. At Regular Cleaning, we’re committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where our colleagues feel valued and able to be themselves.

That’s why we invest in meaningful wellbeing support, including Mental Health Support Ambassadors across the business, monthly mindfulness sessions, and access to confidential support, counselling, and practical advice whenever it’s needed. Aligned with this year’s theme, ‘Take Action’, we’re encouraging open conversations and listening to our colleagues’ needs—continuing to build a genuinely warm and caring culture where everyone feels supported at work.

Our people bring different experiences, languages and cultures to work every day — and that diversity shapes how we work, communicate and learn from one another at Regular Cleaning.

Across our sites and within our Service Support Centre, colleagues play different roles but share the same expectation: to feel welcomed, supported and able to do their best work.

World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development is an opportunity to pause and reflect on how we build understanding across our teams — not just through what we say, but through what colleagues experience day to day.

We’re proud to be an Inclusive Employers Bronze accredited employer, and we know inclusion is something we have to keep developing. That’s why we invest in cultural awareness training and provide welcome packs and learning materials in a range of languages, helping colleagues feel confident, understood and supported from day one. We’re committed to listening, learning and improving together, so everyone who works with us feels they belong here.

We were proud to see 16 of our colleagues successfully complete their Fire Warden training with UK Fire Training yesterday.

At Regular Cleaning, keeping our people safe and supported is always our priority. That’s why we believe training like this not only strengthens knowledge of fire safety, but also brings to life the vital role our Fire Wardens play in protecting others. By continuing to invest in our people, we ensure they feel confident, prepared, and ready to act when it matters most.

It was a valuable and engaging session, giving our team the opportunity to build their understanding of fire safety legislation, identify potential hazards, and explore practical ways to prevent and respond to emergencies.

A huge thank you to UK Fire Training, and to all of our brilliant volunteers for their time, energy, and commitment yesterday.

Last week, we were proud to support St Mungo's at their Spring Party, held in collaboration with the Southwark hub — a fantastic community space supporting people experiencing homelessness across London. The hub provides a safe, welcoming environment with essential services, including showers, laundry, meals, and access to advice on budgeting, debt, and pathways out of homelessness.

It was a brilliant day bringing people together. From t‑shirt painting to creating a warm, light‑hearted atmosphere, our team loved working alongside St Mungo’s and the SPOT team to spread a little joy and connection. It was also great to volunteer alongside our client JLL, reinforcing our shared commitment to supporting local communities.

Billie Powell from St Mungo’s said: “The clients absolutely loved it, so thank you for the kindness and time you gave to each person.” We’re incredibly proud to support such an impactful project and look forward to the next event!

This April, we were proud to support a major volunteering project with St Mungo’s. Colleagues and clients came together to redecorate one of St Mungo’s female-only services, which provides safe accommodation for 31 women.

Over the course of the project, volunteers painted, decorated and refreshed the space—creating a brighter, more welcoming environment for residents to enjoy as summer approaches. The transformation has made a real difference to the look and feel of the building, but just as importantly, it was a fantastic team effort. Our volunteers had a brilliant time getting involved, and projects like this give us the chance to reflect on and celebrate our long‑standing partnership with St Mungo’s.

Over the years, we’ve worked closely together on a wide range of initiatives, from gardening projects and thrift shops to afternoon teas, pamper days and renovation works. This project represents our largest collaboration with St Mungo’s to date, and we couldn’t be prouder. We truly admire the vital work St Mungo’s does to change lives for the better.

A huge thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and got involved throughout the two‑week project—we can’t wait to get stuck into the next one!

Creating Better Places with JLL UK and Aviva Investors 🤝

Yesterday marked the start of mobilisation across the JLL Aviva Investors portfolio, with a clear focus on creating a Best First Day for our teams. It was a hands‑on day, with teams on site welcoming colleagues, sharing welcome packs and clear information on benefits and support, and taking time to make sure people felt supported from the outset.

We’re also proud to be retaining The Bentall Centre, continuing a partnership built on trust and strong foundations already in place. As part of mobilisation, colleagues received a Made Blue Foundation water bottle — helping to donate around 22,000 litres of clean drinking water to communities in need.

Across the sites, teams spent time together getting familiar with the equipment, including iMop demonstrations, and settling into the routines that will shape day‑to‑day delivery.

As Bethanie Sims, Service Line Supervisor, shared: “One of the smoothest mobilisations I’ve been a part of! PJ and his team have been extremely organised and the process has been very well‑managed. It’s been a pleasure!”

Thank you to everyone across operations, people, training and support for the care and effort that went into yesterday. We’re proud to be Creating Better Places together.
