If you haven’t embraced face to camera video - yet - the only difference between us is that I started in 2017. That’s it. The feelings of fear of being judged, awkwardness, shyness, nerves - are all feelings I had then. I relate to the challenge of overcoming those nerves and thoughts for the benefit of my business. I decided I’m not letting some faceless person somewhere on the internet make me feel so judged that I wouldn’t talk about 13 Rhythms…NOPE! That became the motivation, so I started sharing my voice and face for the sake of my business, not because I necessarily loved doing it. Because I didn’t. That’s the choice, really. It’s not about getting comfortable doing it, it’s about committing to what you want your business to be.

Don’t leave people finding out about your products and services to chance. Make big noise about what you do and who you do it for. Let people know what you offer and how your products are going to make a difference for that customer or client. Don’t risk it - your business needs you to be visible for it!

Yes, we run our businesses because we have a love and passion for what we do.

But if it’s not generating a profit then you may as well keep it as a hobby! So all that means that pricing is essential when it comes to the longevity of your business.

I met this lovely young woman today at hosted by and we had a lovely conversation. I don’t always announce what I do - it’s part of my discipline not to just offer unsolicited advice - but as we spoke she mentioned two of the phrases I never use…and that sparked a lovely conversation. Business owners treating their products and bringing them into the world are creatives who not only visualise but materialise too. When your prices are right you give your business a chance. It means you’re building in opportunities for growth, for being able to grow your product range, to expand and extend your business by being able to actually see a profit. You’re able to communicate more effectively with your target audience, by showcasing your confidence in what you do how and why. You’re not connecting your pricing to any sense of goodness about yourself. You’re not going to be the starving and humble creative, you’re going to actually be able to run a business. Pricing isn’t just about numbers. It’s about so much more…but WHEN you can take note of these points in your business, you’re going to give you and your business the love it deserves.
