What am I drinking this weekend? I am starting the weekend off in style with this gorgeous white from South Africa.

Fairhead 2023 – Joostenberg Estate 🇿🇦

This organic blend of Chenin Blanc, Roussanne, Viognier and Alvarinho is fermented using wild yeasts and matured in amphorae, concrete eggs and seasoned oak, giving it both freshness and texture. 🍇

Medium-bodied with lovely texture and concentration. Peach & apricot 🍑
Crisp citrus 🍋
A touch of almond
Balanced by refreshing acidity
A long, dry finish

Food pairing: Perfect with grilled seafood, roast chicken, creamy pasta, soft cheeses or summer grazing platters. 🧀🍗🍝

🍷🇿🇦 South Africa vs France... the final score is in! 🇫🇷🍷

What a fantastic evening of great wines, plenty of laughs, and some seriously competitive banter!

Unfortunately, France claimed the victory this time, winning 2-1. I'll take the defeat gracefully... but I think the calls for a rematch. 🍇

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a fun night, and a special thank you to Matt for joining us and helping make the evening such a success.
