R&B DJs and deep-box collectors, take note! This is the highly elusive, authentic 1958 original first pressing of Mercy Baby’s most wanted and most potent session. A double collaboration written by the artist Julius Mullins and legendary Ric label boss Joe Ruffino, this disc is incredibly rare and nearly impossible to track down today.

The A-side, "Pleadin'", is a transparent, tortured R&B stomper that is absolutely impossible to ignore. It showcases Mercy Baby’s unique gargling vocal style, punctuated by his trademark piercing screams. Driven by relentless, pounding drum rhythms and highly motivational guitar pulses, it builds into an on-his-knees explosion of unfettered, anguished desperation. R&B dance music simply doesn't get any better or more raw than this!

Flip it over for "Don't Lie To Me", a side saturated in everything that is beautiful and good about authentic New Orleans R&B. Two incredible sides, one immensely evasive 45!

Condition Report:
The labels show some soft storage wear and a minor stain on the A-side title (please see the website images), but there is absolutely no writing, no stickers, and no tears.
