It’s amazing how sponsorship of a grassroots club can have a positive effect on so many people. I didn’t know that the strips were sent here but this is brilliant.

Wallsend Boys Club doing amazing work, not only in our local community but also across the world.

I’ve reposted this with the permission of Steve Dale, the Chairman of Wallsend Boys Club quoting Nigel Devine the retired Wallsend businessman who was a Member of the Club during his childhood and now brings his Grandsons along to the club and supports local schools in Uganda with vital funding.

“These young people are orphans and refugees , most parents died of AIDS or were killed in South Sudan .
We sponsored their schooling and now some of them are training to be mechanics or farmers at college. The young disabled kids are at a boarding school, we pay their fees for board and schooling , it’s a drop in the ocean.”

I’m about 80% sure that’s a compliment 😁

Either way, seeing our company name around the pitch at St James’ Park was absolutely unreal.

The result on the day wasn’t ideal, but after decades of following Newcastle United through the full emotional rollercoaster — and a cracking season last year — we can handle a blip.

One thing’s certain: just like the Toon, our company future’s looking bright.

Keep an eye out for us at the next home game — we’ll be the ones celebrating like we’ve scored even when we haven’t when we appear on the advertising boards again. 😁

A proud tradition continues as two teams compete for one of Northumberland’s most prestigious trophies - with the current cup in use since 1902.

Heaton Stannington, making their first final appearance since 1980, take on 2022/23 champions Morpeth Town in a battle to lift the cup! ⚽️
