September in Newquay feels like the coast exhaling. 🌊

The beaches grow quieter, the evenings a little slower, and suddenly the sky seems to save its best colours for last.

Golden light over the Atlantic. Sunset surfs. Empty stretches of sand. That first hint of autumn in the air, while summer still lingers on the horizon.

This is the beginning of Newquay’s slow season.

And it might just be the most beautiful one of all. 🌅

We are spoilt for choice when it comes to hotels in Newquay ✨ - we have some of the best in the UK many with breathtaking sea views and spas so luxurious you’ll never want to leave.

As summer draws to a close, we’re starting to think about Autumn and long weekend stays. Storm watching, blustery beach walks, relaxing spa days or cosy dinners dining on food prepared by the best chefs. Newquay really does have it all so we’ve rounded up 7 Must Visit Hotels in Newquay -

1. The Headland Cornwall - refined, luxurious and home to Adam Handling MBE’s Ugly Butterfly restaurant as well as The Aqua Club spa. This is a 5 star hotel perched just about Fistral Beach
2. Esplanade Hotel, Newquay - head here if you have children in tow. They have a soft play area, a giant pool and you’re located seconds away from Fistral Beach - think rock pooling. A great option come rain or shine.
3. THE NICI - Newquay’s newest hotel that feels like a resort of the Amalfi coast. Restaurants, bars and a very luxurious spa. If you want to be transported to the Med without the flight, choose this hotel.
4. Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa, Newquay - effortlessly cool this hotel has views like no other. Sink into a bath that’s almost on the beach. Enjoy dinner in the fine dining restaurant and always leave time for cocktails. They’re delicious. This is a hotel made for long weekend stays for two.
5. Lewinnick Lodge - boutique and absolutely beautiful. The hotel is much smaller but it certainly packs a punch. As close to the sea as possible this is the place to go for cosy storm watching stays and really good food service fireside. Their Sunday roast is exquisite!
7. Colonial on Tolcarne Beach - you’d be forgiven for thinking you were in the Caribbean staying here. Nestled on the sand of Tolcarne Beach, this is for those who love the beach, even during the winter. Wake up to the waves, jump in the waves and dine watching the sun sink into the sea. This place is show stopping and has to be seen to be believed.

Book your cosy Autumnal stays and we’ll see you on the Cornish coast very soon!

Save this post for later.
