Rock star and Armed Forces veteran Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer of heavy metal group Iron Maiden, is using downtime from his band’s world tour to attend our Armed Forces Day National Event in Aldershot and Farnborough on June 27.

Brucedickinsonhq is attending in his capacity as an honorary officer in the Royal Auxiliary Air Force, and will meet serving personnel, Armed Forces families and veterans.

A spectacular series of flypasts, parachute displays and military parades will bring the pride and pageantry of the annual Armed Forces Day National Event to Aldershot and Farnborough on 27 June.

The celebrations will include a parade featuring military bands from the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, British Army and Royal Air Force, leading marching detachments of up to 500 military personnel, together with cadets and veterans.

On our construction sites, leadership shows in everyday decisions – from how risks are managed and how teams are supported to how work is carried out safely. Our Capital Projects Team has recognised its first Black Hat Supervisor, awarding the role to Ryan Francis from Beard, one of our contracted site managers.

The programme sets clear expectations for site leadership, helping to create a consistent approach to safety and risk management in line with the Building Safety Act. ️🦺

Supervisors are often the closest point of influence on site, and Ryan was selected for the practical, steady example he sets day to day. This is the first of more awards to come, reinforcing the importance of clear leadership where it matters most. ✅

We’re delighted to share that we’ve been awarded the RoSPA President’s Award for 2026, recognising our 13th consecutive Gold Award for health and safety performance. Achieving this in RoSPA’s 70th anniversary year makes it even more special.

This recognition reflects the everyday actions of our people, whether that’s checking in on a colleague, speaking up when something isn’t right, or putting the right safety measures in place. From our desk-based teams to those on site, safety comes first in everything we do.

Behind the scenes, small changes to buildings can make a meaningful difference to everyday life on site. In Aldershot, 1,670 solar panels have now been installed across seven buildings, helping generate clean electricity on site.

By producing power locally ⚡, the panels reduce reliance on the national grid 🔌 and cut carbon emissions by around 135 tonnes every year.

This installation is part of a wider programme introducing renewable energy across the PAC Estate. By planning for the long term and working together, we’re helping create cleaner, more efficient spaces that better support soldiers and those who work alongside them.

For generations, St George’s Church beside Bulford Camp has been a steady presence, providing a place for the local community to reflect and come together. ⛪

Our Operations Director, Support Services Manager for Aldershot, and Aspire Defence Limited’s Chief Executive, recently attended a milestone event marking the 100-day countdown to Armed Forces Day 2026. 📅

Attendees had the chance to view a British Army Jackal vehicle and Wildcat helicopter, meet serving personnel and enjoy music performed by the Band of The Coldstream Guards. We even had the joy of meeting Seamus, the Irish Guards’ famous Wolfhound mascot. 🐾

The day highlighted Aldershot’s strong community spirit and long-standing connection with the Armed Forces, building excitement for the national celebration coming to the town on 27 - 28 June 2026.

During the last week of February, Zero Harm Week brought 1,400 people across four locations together for an immersive week focused on building safer habits and boosting awareness across the business.

Employees across ADSL recently got involved in our wellbeing initiative aimed at encouraging everyone to check their blood pressure during 16 - 20 March.

Self‑directed stations were available at all our sites, with an easy wrist‑worn monitor and a quick QR code linking to the NHS tool so employees could understand what their readings meant. It was a simple and quick way for Teams to take two minutes for their health, and help to create a safe, healthy and thriving workplace.
