Another wonderful review thank you Kelly 🥰

It’s so much fun working with Buddy, and seeing him learn and grow so much has been so rewarding 💛

This is your reminder that it is always worth getting young dogs checked out! After noticing Buddy’s gait during one of our Pain and Behaviour Clinics, Kelly immediately got him checked out with the vet and he was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia, a fairly common MSK issue that often goes unnoticed and undiagnosed until arthritis has set in and not much can be done other than pain management 😔

With regular physiotherapy and strength and conditioning, Buddy can now live a happy and comfortable life for many many years … prevention is always better than cure!

Meet Frankie 🐶🐾

Frankie is a 5 year old Dachshund, who is one month post-op for Grade 5 IVDD 😔
He is currently non-ambulatory in the hind end and is undergoing weekly physiotherapy to try and regain sensation and function!

With spinal injuries/surgeries, it’s really important to get physiotherapy started as soon as possible, to give them the best chance! We are going to do our best to get Frankie up on his feet and independent again over the next few months ✨

Joe and I attended a great Canine First Aid CPD Day in Heath at the weekend hosted by .derbyshire ✨

We learned lots about how to keep your dogs safe in case of many different types of emergencies, and we even managed to stock up on some essential first aid kits!

Expanding our knowledge is always important when it comes to working with dogs, and we will strive to keep up to date on all aspects of Canine care 🤗🐶🐾

Meet Sasha 🐶🐾

Sasha is a 12 year old Lab Cross Rescue who has led a very active life!
Her owner noticed her starting to ‘slow down’ recently and thought she would get her a check up at the vets to make sure all is well. She was shocked to learn that Sasha had pain and reduced range of motion in 3 limbs and in multiple areas of her spine 😔

So many dogs, of all different breeds, but especially rescues, are far too good at hiding pain and problems from their owners! Regular check ups and maintenance physiotherapy are vital in order to catch signs early and prevent ‘slowing down’ symptoms 🐾

Sasha is on a combination of meds and weekly physiotherapy to get her pain managed so that we can increase that range of motion and get her back to her active self 😊

Meet Amelie 🐶

Amelie is a 12 year old Mexican rescue who recently developed a lameness on one of her hindlimbs 😔 she has some weakness in this leg compared to the others, and the vets suspect some OA due to her age 🐾

We are going to work on getting the limb comfortable and stronger and make sure there’s no compensatory issues occurring! Even though Amelie is an older girl, we still want to make sure she is strong enough for a happy and active life ☺️
